It is interesting how different we all are. I have just spent years clearing my head of all scenarios of any sort at all when it comes to price and where it is heading. regards f9

Reading volume spikes without volume study

Drop the RSI Kovacs and it will be one less distraction. You could try burying the vol but create a pop signal for a vol spike onto your price chart and then take matters from there. regards f9

ahh ...a lightbulb moment in your trading life. join the club, it took me almost ten years and I was already trading successfully. all I do now is simply follow the trail and remember at all times that "the early bird gets the worm" but it is "the second mouse that gets the cheese"...

excellent observation JSSPMK. quite possibly p/a is paid lip service only whilst we are inclined to pay attention to our own opinion first. an example would be fib ratios. there are those who proclaim that fib 50% as great a man as fibonacci was, his ratios are merely the centres of...

At the risk of spoiling this thread, I think that we are only party to some of the story. You should get "your friend" to expand on his journey here on ET. regards f9

    very interesting news today

Fair assumption, That is how the Iraq adventure was marketed. But what is the motivation behind reporting that Gates and Rice remain as yet unconvinced. Are we to believe that when they come onboard it will be ready .. set ..go. regards f9

    very interesting news today

Precisely why I wrote "Select you own dailies and countries and just try it for a few days." Incidentally I subscribe to nothing. Good news is free ... it is peoples opinions that can cost money and I am more than capable of piecing good news together and draw a conclusion, regards f9

    very interesting news today

Interesting comment bc. Every morning I scroll through a number of major english dailies from around the world, leaving the US to last. I suggest that people try it and see what they come up with. Select you own dailies and countries and just try it for a few days. regards f9

Nothing Beats Price Action, Everything Else is Derivative

If you live a derivative life and have never had an original thought in your head since childhood and you have never made a bold daring original move in your adult life to date then you will need to hold onto your "training wheels" with a very tight grip. If you want to see the proof then...

Look at the lead story in the Jerusalem Post today. http://www.jpost.com/ 'Bush intends to attack Iran before the end of his term' Report: Officials say Bush, Cheney wish to launch military op in the coming months but are being held back by "hesitancy of Gates and Rice." regards f9

Nothing Beats Price Action, Everything Else is Derivative

Trading styles... who cares, so long as they make money. Well I think a very few people do care. They care that the style actually works under combat conditions, not just reflectively on a chart or on a sim. They care that the style maximizes dollar income, not just points won less those...

Nothing Beats Price Action, Everything Else is Derivative

These ramblings apply to ES intraday only. Price, which is the only tradeable, comes from the order flow of strikes on the buy or sell side, some of which are at the bid whilst others are on the ask. If you chose (wittingly or unwittingly) to assemble this order flow into bars based on...
