    Commodity option commissions?

Anyone care to share what they are paying for options on futures? Looking to get back to the option side of futures, and am wondering where commissions are at these days. Back 10 years ago I paid anywhere from $15 to $25. I am calling my broker today, but would like to know what others have to...

Lack of sleep and I'm an idiot...

It's been a long couple of weeks with sick kids and dog, meaning little sleep. I'm happy to say I didn't lose my rear, but I screwed up just the same, and others can use it as a lesson if they wish, or ignore and say it couldn't happen. I was trading the EC from 7 - 8 central this morning, and...

    Gayest Winter Olympic sporting events?

Yea, I don't get why they have to go the two man route. Something just doesn't seem right.lol I find it amazing they took almost 200 yards off the course and they still are hitting 90 mph. I love to give that a try, but I think I'd want to be dead after the wipeout than live all mangled.

Which prop firms don't require a series 7 license?

One more time. Does JC Trading issue a K-1 or 1099 at year for taxes?

    Please, NO MORE FAVRE.

Same story with Rogers in the Packers playoff game. He took 2 different helmet to helmet hits and neither was called, both could easily have changed the game. Penalties are missed on both sides, it's still up to a team to come up with enough points to win. This one is a sore point for me. My...

    Please, NO MORE FAVRE.

I agree, I am amazed at the differences in ratings. A friend looked that stuff up early this year and it was pretty funny. We surmised that the difference is due to the protection the QB's are afforded these days compared to then when the QB was fair game to wipe out. Also some of the west coast...

    Please, NO MORE FAVRE.

Let's not forget most interceptions of all time too. :D What really sucks is the local news morons here are all talking about how funny it will be to watch Minnesota go through the retirement game. They don't seem to see that they are babbling on as much as the last four years of yes/no...

    Please, NO MORE FAVRE.

I'll add as disappointed as I was in the way both sides acted and the end result of the guy becoming a Vike, a part of me wants to see him come back and keep that most starts record going. I know he blows off the camps, but I think he still works to stay in shape and keeps going despite getting...

    Please, NO MORE FAVRE.

I saw no dirty football. I saw one flagged roughing which wasn't, and one they didn't call which was. That's football, and the QB gets way to much protection these days. The helmet to helmet and actual late hits should be called, but all the other protection crap is over board.

I don't fault him, like I said the whole offense didn't play well, and Favre was a part of it. 2 interceptions and his lowest QB rating of the year. I think, an abysmal 70. As a Packer fan though, I enjoy seeing the Viqueens lose, and when it's with the guy who was the franchise for close to 2...

    Please, NO MORE FAVRE.

Guys, I'm not disagreeing with that it was a team loss, but do any of you live in Wisconsin and watched for years when he did the same thing? I know Madden and the other goofs would have you believe he was always perfect, but the reality is he dug himself a lot of the holes he had to dig out of...

    Please, NO MORE FAVRE.

It wasn't the pain. He has a few of these, "I'm going to be the hero" screwups to his record. Giants 2 years ago being the last one. He goes all season, finally, without the hero mentality and then in the next biggest game, after playing pretty well, he goes and falls back on his mistake prone...

    Air America Bankruptcy

I saw that in the news this morning. I can't wait to hear the stories that it is because the evil Republicans pulled strings to make it happen. Or Rush and his cohorts strong armed their advertisers out of advertising with Air America. I always found that the liberals use of that name to be...

IB ad on inside of Futures and buying power?

I get that it's supposed to be more to pull in people to lower rates, but I think it smells of poor judgement for a reputable firm. How does IB compare to prop firms and their haircut rates? Say Bright or Echo?

IB ad on inside of Futures and buying power?

I wondered about the possibility of finding stocks paying 5% that were fairly good companies. They show the interest rate at 1.25%, maybe that was at it's lowest point. Thanks for the portfolio margin info., they do mention that in the ad. I still see it as a fairly big gamble, that I question...

IB ad on inside of Futures and buying power?

On the inside front cover of Futures magazine Interactive Brokers show depositing $100,000 and having a total of $500,000 buying power. I haven't been equity trading in awhile, but I thought $100,000 would give you $400,000 buying power, or 4x your balance. Which is correct? I also find their...

Dog the Bounty Hunter-former circus act?

After seeing a million ads for Dog the Bounty Hunter I watched one of the shows. You have got to be kidding. Are he and his wife former circus performers? The outfits, and everything, I almost fell off the treadmill watching. I'll never watch again, but holy crap I really just want to be able...
