NVS 450 is very old and slow. How many monitors you want to run in your new rig? What resolution?. For trading only (or other "GPU lite" applications) or gaming also? (I'm expert on this.)

Well... I use W10 and shut down/restart every day with zero problems, running 4x, UHD monitors. Therefore must suspect that problems are user specific. Suspect problems with "locking", "hibernating", "sleeping"... always seems to be problems and complaints with those.

I'm not doing W11.. but W10 does not have that problem , nor did W7... (unless possibly due to video card/driver issues). The entire notion of Windows "sleep" and "hibernating" has been plagued with problems over the years. Better to shut down and restart, IMV. You mention...

Just spitballing, but maybe not if there is a driver conflict from "source". It's not a "function of OS" as much as having to accommodate more than one set of "signals" from different video sources.

Not really. I don't know of any 4-port cards that support HDMI. TVs have HDMI (and NO DP... I've checked 6 TVs and none of them had DP port, so I presume none have it)...all the multi-port video cards are DP. I suspect one might run "4x TVs as monitors"... but since I haven't found any TVs...

Good advice, IMV. "Waking up from sleep"... Windows has to accommodate the video setup again. Better to shut down the computer when the day is done. Rebooting next day will usually "clear out gremlins", if any.

That's the kind of thing that might happen with your running 2 "types" of video card... your P620 and onboard. (W10 Extended Desktop is accommodative, but not 100% of "everything". W10 may not like running 2 cards from different manufacturers... or maybe not even different models from the same...
