Speaking of "Fairness In Taxation"... We all know it's a CRIME to discriminate against others on the basis of religion, color, ethnicity, race, sexual preference, gender, and who knows WTF else... even WEIGHT! But it's OK to discriminate against INCOME! And yet nobody bitches. Tsk, tsk. Why...

Of course. The only fair and Constitutional way to levy income tax is as a "flat tax". If there is to be a "low income" exemption... say, $30-$40K, EVERYBODY GETS IT! Amounts above the exempt level is flat rate... same for everyone. Progressive tax rates are a tool of power and control...

Why not? I'm not one of the "rich" who gets to take advange of "loopholes" to evade taxes. I'm not one of the "beneficiaries of wealth distribution". I'm one of the "tax donkeys"... regardless of any new "tax reforms", my taxes always GO UP!! :(

Working hypothesis... BTC is primarily a vehicle for (1) laundering drug money, and (2) Chinese getting money out of the country, getting around government's capital controls. The large fluctuations in price, both up and down, are because somebody with large money "badly needs" or "badly wants"...

Not contradictory.... may seem so because they occur in close proximity. First one, then the other. Whipsaws are a cost of doing business. Catching a whipsaw is of course costly, but missing a move because you were trying to avoid a whipsaw is even more costly to your P/L. "Resistance"...
