Jorge Ramos Says He’s Now Having the ‘Worst Time’ of His Life in U.S.

“With Donald Trump there, I have never been treated so badly.” https://www.infowars.com/jorge-ramos-says-hes-now-having-the-worst-time-of-his-life-in-u-s-2/ Of course. He's an asshat! He should have been run out of the country years ago. What he wants is for the maximum number of Mexicans...

Is volume analysis useful in index futures?

Neither did I. It was just the quote function.

Is volume analysis useful in index futures?

I think you did more than "mention" it... more like shouted it. But that's OK. :)

Can traders setup an S-corp to get the 20% rate deduction?

You'll have to look into that when the law takes effect. It was intimated that it would NOT be available to "one person professional" types. Would be available to businesses which employ others... the owners would get the benefit. Seems to make sense as an incentive for job creation.

Is volume analysis useful in index futures?

No. KISS can be a noun or a verb... or the name of a rock band. K.I.S.S. is none of those things. I remember some sage guidance about trading... "Go over your work and simplify as much as you possibly can. Then, simplify again."

Is volume analysis useful in index futures?

Keep It Simple Stupid. It's my philosophy.. "If I can't explain the trade in 10 words or less, I've probably got it wrong." You know, Occam's razor kind of thing...

Is volume analysis useful in index futures?

Markets make highs/lows on both high and low volume.... and ever measure between. Anything you think you get "exclusively" from volume, you should have already seen in price. It's conventional wisdom that "volume leads price" (it doesn't for the general market), but I can see how some might...

Is volume analysis useful in index futures?

Oh sure... weasel out! :) With your being an institutional, I wasn't expecting input from you. I don't really expect anybody to respond... mostly because it's more trouble than it's worth. But we'll see.

Is volume analysis useful in index futures?

You may be right about that, but the OP's original question was about "the market in general"... i.e. "stock index futures".

Is volume analysis useful in index futures?

We'll see who responds to my challenge. The questions to be answered... (1) "Is volume helpful in improving overall trading results.. i.e. making more good trades and avoiding some losers, (2) is volume consideration non-conclusive/ineffective and a waste of time, and (3) does volume...

Is volume analysis useful in index futures?

I'm one of those. Seems I read somewhere that traders looked to volume as "confirmation" of the move. Funny, I don't believe in that either. Even if there is a correlation of volume to price (and I've just ignored it because of co-correlation elsewhere)... traders don't need volume to "get it...

Is volume analysis useful in index futures?

I'm not a fan of volume. (Joe Granville was always a big proponent of "On Balance Volume"... his own proprietary indicator if memory serves. It served him well when he first started touting it, but later led him astray to being wrong just about all the time.) Years ago I had my own custom...

North Korea launches tests for ICBMs loaded with Anthrax

"Almost Everybody In America Gets A Tax Break"... only about 5% of taxpayers get hosed

Years ago, I ran a financial planning practice for fee. I noticed that those with $100K income didn't have that much better of a financial life. They had a bit better house, cars, and a few other things. But in the end, most of them couldn't put $10K cash together if you put a gun to their...

"Almost Everybody In America Gets A Tax Break"... only about 5% of taxpayers get hosed

Reading the summary of the tax plan.... Only about 5% of taxpayers... those with high income in blue states... get a tax increase. Everybody else gets a break. Those with WAAAYYYYY more income/money than I get a tax break... as do those at the lower end of the income spectrum... but not me...

How many years are necessary to consider yourself a successful trader?

Depends. You could have had a string of good, consistent profitable years during this raging market. (Note the expression, "confusing brains with a bull market".) You won't know where you stand as a trader until you experience a big smashola and come out of it relatively unscathed. Over your...

UGAZ drops too fast? No worry today 1 for 10 reverse split!

Yeah.... so long as it keeps crashing. Reverse splits are usually shorting traders "wet dream come true". It's almost like the announcement of a reverse split is an automatic fade. :)

UGAZ drops too fast? No worry today 1 for 10 reverse split!

No surprise there. Never said "C is the greatest trade in the world"... just using it as example of a reverse split that worked out, at least so far. (We don't know whether the reverse split had anything to do with the price bounce.... frankly, I doubt it. The reverse split was to allow...
