weird price action in first 15 minutes today?

Openings are often sloppy and whippy. Players who played for long/short need to cover/reverse. Others chase opening action. Usually not significant beyond the noise.

Right NOW is a classic time to understand and trade "Price TA"

Markets are mixed... sentiments are mixed and conflicting... what's a trader to do?? Well... best solution is to understand "Price TA". That is... The net EVERYTHING "the market" knows, wants, hopes fears, speculates, etc... is priced into their decision to buy/sell/hold. The price charts of...

What do you guy's do to prevent tilting?

I suppose you recall years back some high profile hedge managers hired on some top poker players to help them make better trades and have better results... one in particular was Daniel Negranu. Well, nobody got anything positive out of that and we never heard about it again. If the "most...

What do you guy's do to prevent tilting?

For one, there are no odds to "calculate" in your trades. (I'm curious to know what you believe are "calcuable odds" in trades.)

What do you guy's do to prevent tilting?

I played a LOT of poker for 10 years or so.

What do you guy's do to prevent tilting?

2 things that could put a trader on tilt.... 1. Trading "willy-nilly"... short this, now long that, yada yada.... hoping to get lucky. 2. Understanding Price TA, being disciplined about executing reasonable/proper strategies and stringing together a bunch of losers anyway... That's most...

What do you guy's do to prevent tilting?

Automation is a form of discipline. If you don't have "mechanical discipline", you still need it.

What do you guy's do to prevent tilting?

Strange. Seems to me that YOU don't understand the problem.

What do you guy's do to prevent tilting?

In trading sometimes the question is asked, "How do I make myself do the right thing?" No answer for that other than "discipline".

What do you guy's do to prevent tilting?

"Tilt"? Sounds like you're a poker player. Got news for you... virtually zero correlation between market trading and poker. (Lots of noobs believe there is strong correllation... they are wrong.)

Dell guys are great guys, but IT'S NOT working

That wouldn't be a hardware problem... either Windows or FF. Try searching something like "youtube videos won't play" both in the browser and at youtube. Probably something simple. Maybe the "popups" setting in FF?? It's under Privacy and Security.

Dell guys are great guys, but IT'S NOT working

As your video card has 4 ports, easy to imagine you finding a reason to add another monitor (or 2)... just seems to go that way. GL! :)

Trading stocks that have wide spreads

A tight one on any issue/trade. You're almost always going to "buy the ask" and "sell the bid". If the spread is wide, that's LOTS of slippage... and over time will become a difficult "cost" to overcome.

    Fibonacci Fans!

Here's a thought for you.... Years back, I ran across a trader with the handle, "Fib Trader". I PMd him with the query, "there aren't all that many Fib indications... how do you make a trading model out of them?". He replied, "There are waaaaay more than you might think... take a close look."...

Trading stocks that have wide spreads

The spread is one of the "costs" you have to overcome. The greater your obstacles, the less likely you are to succeed. If you have a LOT of confidence/high hopes in your fundamental play, perhaps you can overcome a large spread. If that's not your thinking, you should pass on the play.

Dell guys are great guys, but IT'S NOT working

When one has pride invested in their computer, one goes for bigger, better, faster, newer, more costly. When you see the computer as merely a "work tool", you can buy for "function" only. And as computers depreciate faster than cars, might as well buy a good, older one and save some $$$...
