"Technical Analysis Doesn't Work... TA Sucks", you say?

You might have a tough row to hoe, buckeroo... 1st time I made $1MM in a year, I was giddy for 6 months. Told my parents... they didn't believe me! (A couple of years earlier, they'd refused to lend me $10K for the down payment on a town home out of concern I wouldn't be able to pay it back...

"Technical Analysis Doesn't Work... TA Sucks", you say?

"I been buying NG couple months/hedged, system will eventually find bottom." -- Handle 123 Just as I suggested y'day... "accumulate at these low prices and ride-out until the seasonal rally"... as close to a "no brainer" as you're likely to see. Conventional wisdom is to "not try to pick the...

"Technical Analysis Doesn't Work... TA Sucks", you say?

That's the 3rd stupid post I've seen you make.... enough to promote you to my ON IGNORE list.

"Technical Analysis Doesn't Work... TA Sucks", you say?

One guy on Twitter said he'd "bought $2.10... would add at $1.80, and again at $1.50... with a stop-out at $1.40". That's a lot of risk, but considering the seasonal... a reasonable approach up to a point. By "up to a point"... I have to wonder "why stop out there"... fear of NG going to $.50...

"Technical Analysis Doesn't Work... TA Sucks", you say?

What? Not in the least bit relevant.

"Technical Analysis Doesn't Work... TA Sucks", you say?

Some want to "bottom fish". NG at this time would seem to be a good candidate for one so inclined.

"Technical Analysis Doesn't Work... TA Sucks", you say?

Wrong again. When the support lines are not at fundamentally obvious places, they still mean the same.

"Technical Analysis Doesn't Work... TA Sucks", you say?

You just know that $2 is a price that you will be willing to take, like everyone else. And you know that by looking at the past behavior of the market. (Duh... that's what TA is all about.) Your conclusion is incorrect. The $2 is a line... a "support line"... they always mean the same. It...

"Technical Analysis Doesn't Work... TA Sucks", you say?

NG could "noodle around" for 6 months. Holding UNG wouldn't be much of a problem, but holding leveraged positions could be due to decay.

"Technical Analysis Doesn't Work... TA Sucks", you say?

You've answered your own question. People's "buying near $2" indicates they believe the price is cheap and likely to rise. Their buying behavior is being shown in the price chart... just like always.

"Technical Analysis Doesn't Work... TA Sucks", you say?

Reasons to not "go whole hog" into NG at this time... 1. Estimates for 2023 NG peak reserves are the 2nd largest on record (that's bearish)... and is likely contributing to current low price. 2. Turkey just recently discovered a MONSTER NG deposit... also bearish. Though these two are...

"Technical Analysis Doesn't Work... TA Sucks", you say?

Depends upon how close to THE bottom you expect to "nail" it. If you want to be sure to catch the subsequent bounce, you start accumulating UNG or natgas stocks with the intent of holding until you get the bounce. Would be riskier to try the play with the leveraged ETFs right now, however...

"Technical Analysis Doesn't Work... TA Sucks", you say?

I say, Price TA works for ALL MARKETS... and for ALL TIME FRAMES! Take Natural Gas for instance currently at this time... What USUALLY happens after the price of NatGas dips to $2-ish? That's Price TA. KISS, baby. :)

    "AHA" Moment - Finding confidence

Many will speak about a "good trade"... or a "good year". Back when I was doing the US Investing Championships... there was one guy who'd made ~100% one year. That got some ink from the contest, of course... but the greater truth is that over a 10-year period, that was the ONLY year where he'd...

    "AHA" Moment - Finding confidence

We've done this dance before. I'm a former RIA. As an RIA, if you post "performance", you're legally required to post "ALL performance".. good, bad, from "way back when". I'm not jumping through THOSE hoops. (Years ago I had ALL of my trades audited... that was a hassle and an expensive...

    "AHA" Moment - Finding confidence

The odds are against you if you're trying to do anything other than, "getting your money in tune with the market's bias". How do you do that? Learn and trade "Price TA". That is, "if the market is buying, YOU should too. If the market is selling, YOU should too". How do you know? Price TA...

    "AHA" Moment - Finding confidence

Why do I keep making these kind of posts? Just to "needle" the dumbasses. Because it pisses-off the doubters, haters, ignorant and fools about TA. :) :) (How ironic... one must SHOVE THE TRUTH DOWN PEOPLE'S THROATS... the truth that could not only relieve their anguish, but earn them...

    "AHA" Moment - Finding confidence

Took me "couple of months"... I was profitable right off the bat.. 1st year. How? I viewed the daily chart data from ~1966-1974. That was a large, long trading range market. I noticed the regularities of "buying the 20 Day MA cross to the upside and selling the cross on the downside"...
