It was on the HTB list, so I couldn't short it. I also didn't have enough time to call and locate stock.

Trading the June 29th FOMC meeting

I think bonds might be priced in, for your A scenario. They have sold off quite a bit recently, I think you might seem some short covering. The key is the amount of the cut and the wording. Lately the wording has been ambiguous at best, and in that case, trading the VOL is probably the...

    The Surf Report

I'm with you, I'm a trader so I want to make money today, tomorrow, and every day. All I care about is my MTM P&L today, the longest I want to wait for a profit is a few days. However, you can't argue that surfer has made some pretty good trades. He nailed the GOOG short, he's nailed some...

What is your trading backup plan?

Redundant Systems. Two Computers, Two separate connections, power back up, etc. If you can't afford it, then just have the trade desk number handy, and dump the position when and if it happens. An alternative, put your stop in with the trade desk and "forget about it"

Getting rich is really pretty simple...It requires three components. Savings, Investment, and Time. Take a page from Sir John Templeton on this one. You need to spend less than you earn and invest the difference. If you do 20%, you'll meet your goals, 30% is much better, and Sir John himself...

    Bright Trade

The market is the way it is, There are always a couple hundred contracts ahead of you, keep that in mind, it may help your trading. Don't use stops...I don't. NOW BEFORE YOU ARMCHAIR QUARTERBACKS JUMP ALL OVER ME....LET ME CLARIFY! That doesnt mean you won't get out of a losing trade...

    Bright Trade

When you put in an order, you enter an order queue. That means that several hundred, and even once in a while, a thousand or more contracts must trade for you to get filled, because there are other orders ahead.

    Bright Trade

Are you on the bid or the offer....If you are offering to sell, or bidding to buy, then you must "wait your turn" in the order queue to get filled. If you are taking offers or hitting bids, then you should have instant fills.

Lunch we me @ IN & OUT!

Cashiers at In & Out actually make more than most day traders, they start their people at around 10 or 11 bucks an hour. Perhaps that's why their burgers are so good!
