Yeah you can do that. No one knows for sure how far it would pullback. But you look at the initial parabolic move up and say "That's quite a direct large move up and I'm up $1590, I'll take that profit." Then you watch it to see what it does or if you're tuned in like Kid you flip it which is...

Nice flip BTW. :) I agree that "large" is in the eye of the trader. Sure it's nice to have $1000+ trades, but you just need to look at what's actually going on. Not what we think is going on or what we want to go on. The thing with taking "smaller" profits, like $300-400 is they all add up...

Don't have time to really get into it now, but 159 ticks really is a lot to leave on the table. I'd never do that but we do have different trading styles. We'll talk more later. You'll be okay and are going to do great.

A commodity rally today. Gold, silver, oil, etc. all having a nice pop. Somehow in my mind I was thinking short and kept looking for that, but I also was looking at what was actually happening and thus my only trade so far was the 30 tick long. But now the short was right near Kid's entry...

FWIW it has the EIA crude inventories report listed as 11 AM EST tomorrow and not 10:30. May be because of the holiday.
