As opposed to the lull before the storm, this AM seems to be the lull after the storm. Maybe the crude inventories will move this.

BTW, another observation is that this has had a minor bounce in the mornings lots of days here recently during the selloff. But they sold into every rally attempt. So if you're going long as a swing trade better be careful IMHO. :) Good luck with your trades everyone. :)

Wasn't there some talk from OPEC that they would only consider trimming prodution if crude fell below 60?

Here's a 3 month chart for crude. Notice the high volume yesterday and today. A good sign for a reversal maybe.

Thanks for sharing that. :) Of course Goldman, as we know, was the one that called crude to $100. :) I'm sure they don't like this selloff with such a large, long position. Wonder if they bought any puts as insurance just in case? Or maybe they're buying calls now. :)

Keeps trying to base. So far no dice. I'd be careful trying to short it after such a major pullback. Not that it can't go to 60 or below , but any significant news can turn this around and create a pretty significant short squeeze. Maybe just day trade it on the short side but not swing trade...
