What are the chances that GE becomes bankrupt or reduce their dividend within 5 years

Probably makes sense for GE to omit the dividend. It makes no sense to pay 1.24 annually. They can probably do better with the money and deleverage themselves further, buy back stock. They could over time get down to 8.5 billion shares retain for 3-4 years. Right now handing out the...

Thats the thing, only a matter of time. I bet they have planned for this and more. The chinese are more long term planners.

How come the chinese is not taking over US companies?

Lets see GE for 93 Billion BA for 24 billion LLL for 8.65 billion. If I was China I would look at outright buying them. With our companies getting so cheap you would think lots of BUD style takeovers would start.

What if we STRUCTURALLY have more people than there are jobs?

IF wages are to high thats because cost of living is to high. When you can buy a coke for 5 cents and a car for 2000 dollars, a home to live in for 23,000 dollars Maybe you will see wages dropping.

What if we STRUCTURALLY have more people than there are jobs?

A big war. Before nuclear weapons you had wars to cull the excess males. Nuclear weapons broke this natural cycle. Without the occasional brushfire you have economic disaster.
