    IB / Russell 2000

After talking to IB, IB says that they are not actually charging the $1.00 fee for ICE/NYBOT data. It is one of those odd IB quirks that they list a minimal fee for a data feed, but don't charge the fee. The TF DOM is only 2 by 1 or 2 by 2, but the TO DOM is the full 5 by 5. Either IB or...

The silver refiner and industry standard is the 1000 oz bar and you can get all of those that you want.

    Anyone, help with this?

When the cash market opens for trading the index arbs make certain that the index futures and cash index are in line with one another. Read the index arb information at www.indexarb.com and www.programtrading.com

    Anyone, help with this?

Buying drives the price of stock index futures up and selling drives the price down. Works the same way in all futures markets.

    historical bid/ask quotes

If you can't find the information on the exchange websites then call the exchanges and ask them. All the exchanges are in the data business and want your money.

    Using Dial Up With TWS

donnap said "out in the country" not "out of the country". Juno is not very good. Look for a local ISP in your area for the best dialup service. Do a search at www.dslreports.com for dialup service and ISP reviews.

    ES Journal Archive (2006 - 2008)

I agree. I trade the new front month on roll over day. It is just that procrastinators need to know the exact exchange rules. I would never hold an index futures contract to expiration as the cash settlement prices using the opening figures tend to be rather funky.

    Strange Silver action

Plenty of people selling silver bars and 90% coins on Ebay. Comex warehouses as of 09/09/08 have 87 million oz of registered silver and 52 million oz of eligible silver. The shortage appears to be with the small stuff 1 oz to 10 oz, as it appears that 1000 oz bars are readily available.

    tomorrow is rollover day

Not quite, as the ER2U8 contact trades until next Friday. Traders require an ICE/NYBOT data feed to get the Z8 R2K contracts. Be careful with the new R2K symbols as TF is the mini (x $100) and TO is the full size (x $500). Let us all hope the ICE platform keeps from crashing.

    New Symbol for ER2?

The CME has been promoting the S&P Midcap 400 (symbol EMD) as a replacement for the ER2, but so far the volume is anemic. The S&P SmallCap 600 (symbol SMC) is just dead.

Advantage Futures - best commissions i have ever seen

You are reading the volume break commission schedule the wrong way. Each lower commission only applies to the contracts over the volume break, not the contracts below the volume break.

Advantage Futures - best commissions i have ever seen

If you are willing to pay for X_Trader Eagle Market Makers starts at $0.40 per side plus exchange fees. That is the lowest first contract commission I have ever seen. You would have to contact them for volume breaks.
