    What frequency do you consider high frequency? How many round turns do you expect to do a day? What will be the percentages of winners, losers and scratches? High frequency traders get their profits eaten up by commissions unless they own or lease an exchange membership.

    Unless you are doing large size in ES you can buy on the offer and sell on the bid with zero slippage the majority of the time during RTH. Using 1 tick of slippage during RTH is a good assumption for backtesting an ES trading system.
