Tax reporting of foreign futures trades

You are ignoring the fact that brokers are not even required to report option trading on a Form 1099-B. So why worry about no requirement for brokers to report foreign futures trading on a Form 1099-B ? Remember that is up to you to report all income on your Form 1040, no matter the...

    E-mini tutorials?

You don't seem to realize that there are other customers using the same FCM you are using that pay half the broker commission that you are paying. Go Futures is just one of several DBA names used by Farr Financial. Using Farr Financial as FCM through the Go Futures name you pay $0.99 a side...

    Sogotrade or Just2Trade ?

SogoTrade ($3.00 commission) and Just2Trade ($2.50 commission) are not very good brokers and too expensive for 100 and 200 share trading. If you are an active stock trader you want to use a direct access broker. Lightspeed charges $0.40 per 100 shares with a $0.40 minimum. Interactive...

    Autofuturestrading.com - CTI

No it is not dumb. It is a very clever marketing technique. The "forbidden fruit" and word of mouth marketing technique worked very well for Bernie Madoff to suck billions of dollars into his Ponzi scheme.

    Autofuturestrading.com - CTI

What type of moron spends $ 6K on a trading system and then only puts up $ 2.5K as trading capital? If you really thought that it was good enough to spend $ 6K on it you would use it to trade big $$$. $ 2.5K to $ 8.3K in a year is 232%. If I had a trading system that generated annual returns...

    DSL vs. Cable question

Just the opposite experience here. Comcast cable is faster than Verizon DSL, but less reliable. Verizon DSL gives a rock solid connection with constant upload and download speeds. And that is with loop length at over 17,250 feet from the central office. Comcast cable gives a noisy...

    A job, but there's a catch: a 1,000-mile commute

This is news ? There are at least 1000 people who live in Philadelphia and commute to New York every day. That is 94 miles one way, 188 miles roundtrip a day or 940 miles a week. There are other people who live in Philadelphia suburbs that have an even longer comuute to New York. I have...

California City to Charge $300 to Call 911

So what? I have been forced to pay $1.00 a month for 911 service for years. Over 20 years that comes to $240. I have never called 911, so I have been forced to pay $240 for nothing.

Is 3.20 for clearing and exchange fee normal?

You always pay for what you get, but you don't always get what you pay for.

    Covered Calls?

If you could consistently make 3% to 5% a month you would be running a hedge fund. And you don't consistently make 3% to 5% a month by doing covered calls (equal to naked puts).

Is 3.20 for clearing and exchange fee normal?

What the heck is the transaction charge of $0.50 ? Forex CME Globex exchange fees total $1.60 a side. Two cheaper brokers are: Lightspeed charges $0.50 a side plus exchange and NFA fees ($0.50 + $1.60 + $0.01 = $2.11 a side or $4.22 RT). futuresbroker.com charges $0.75 a side plus...

    Insane CPU usage in TWS

Subdude - it sounds like you have something set up wrong on your computer. I use an older computer (single core Sempron 3100+ and 1.5 GB RAM) running Windows XP SP2, Java 1.6.0_17, TWS Build 901.3. With QuoteTracker also running I'm using less than 5% CPU on average.

Another ETer that only focuses on commissions. With a $3.00 ticket charge and only $0.10 an option how do you think eOption makes money on option trades ?

    New system, starting small

NQ and QQQQ are both derivatives of NDX. Anyone who trades either one knows that the correlation between them is extremely high because they are arbed. You are going about the contract/share relationship the wrong way. NQ has a $20 multiplier. QQQQ was started at 1/40 of the NDX. Due to...
