    ES Trading Performance

obviously there are few things here going for you. First - you are sticking to your rules. Not many people can do this. This is in itself a big achievement. Being bored is one of the hardest thing to control. I would suggest put all your energies towards diversifying into other products or...

    Your trading edge/logic's security

LOL. Unfortunately, this reasoning doesn't apply to traders who are trading with a smalltown prop firm. And I think these kinds of traders are the target group of OP in this thread.

You are not losing money while you are paying comm and slippage. So, you are in top 20% of traders. To become consistent you need to do lots more work. Lets see what others tell you.

well you asked for someone else, it was not clear who you were asking. I thought maybe you want to compare. Anyways if you go back in the thread, you will couple months ago (jan-feb) a guy posted his real time equity curve.

Introducing FREE MultiCharts .NET Starter Edition

Good points. Imo, aim of this promotion is to motivate ninja users to try MC and to target people who trade just 1/2 products and don't need to scan. Regarding stunning reveiws. It is very hard to get a reasonable review for any product imo. There are various reasons for it: 1) Most of the...

Introducing FREE MultiCharts .NET Starter Edition

You raise a good point of stresstesting but the reasoning is wrong. If you want to stress test and see how MC.NET performs trading 200 symbols or 500 symbols, you can always use the 1 month trial to see how MC.net works under fully loaded conditions. I think the right way to use MC.NET is...

someone made this exact same observation after the december overnight flash crash. However, if memory serves me right i don't think that low was revisited. I am outside and I only have my RTH charts with me now, so i can't confirm looking at globex.

Maybe such days are easiest to trade, but I personally find such days hardest to trade. Just taking a trade in one direction and keeping it throughout the day. Sounds easy but very hard to do.

ahh---now I see what you meant, the overnight chart pattern differences. Makes 100% sense. It can be at times difficult to understand what the other guy is saying on ET. Thanks for clarifying :)

    ES Journal - 2013

fair enough I whole-heartedly agree that there are times when one of nq or ym or es might give accurate signals, however other indices won't be that clear. I have time and again noticed this. However, I find it hard to believe/accept that cash or futures on the same underlying will give...

Can you give some examples of when future and cash markets have given different signals? Are these different signals contradictory or there is a lag between the signals?

Trading a few instruments Vs a large portfolio of instruments

This topic might seem like a no-brainer and ETers might vote for trading a portfolio. However it is not that simple a decision. Historically, people have focused on trading single or a few markets. Examples: pit traders used to trade only 1 product. In banks as well, people trade a only a...

    Creating own trading system

There is actually a better solution. As you said this will work only for non-US guys. Spend around 4-5 months in Dubai and other 1-2 months in some other third country, say ABC. So that in your home country, you spend less than 182 days. Then it is my understanding that you won't have to pay...
