http://www.amazon.com/Bond-Market-Trading-Risk-Management/dp/1556232896 I just bought a used copy which I'm very happy with. Its from 1993, before daytrading was around though, but its still very useful. I bought this after spending alot of money on useless newer books that had zero...

Risk management of "renowned" investors & traders

The sharpe ratio itself is flawed. Thats a start. If people were actually trading appropriately, daytraders, option sellers, insurance writers... and so many hedge funds wouldn't exist in any kind of quantity like they have over the past 10 years. In Canada, like many financially...

GS, $12B in bailout then $14B in bonuses

I agree - this is a total joke and must be offensive to all global investors who undoubtedly now look down even more on the financial system. Anyone consider that the rats on the ship want a life boat or they might go public about anything that has gone down there if they don't get their...

Trader Tim Knight, creator of prophet.net, makes bold new call for Dow 5500

Prophet- haha.. I remember paying for their data 4 years ago. I had to keep calling 3 or 4 times to cancel my data account. It just wouldn't cancel the 1st, 2nd or 3rd time... Granted the charts looked good, but I needed EOD data, not pretty online charts.

How much did SAC lose on Volkswagen?

Having read every single 13F and 13g filing that all the main funds and sub funds have produced (sec.gov edgar) - you'll note that their long side risk is so diversified that you wonder how they make those returns.... but my point is that if they are so diverse on the long side, you'd assume...
