Hes right - the company is a joke. The sales and tech support back in '99-2001 were outsourced to a Canadian company. I imagine since then that its moved on to India. We used to sell the service before it was even available in the customers area. Happened at least 4-6 times a day on sales I...

excellent post- i own the book too. I hope Das keeps publishing- I am thinking of buying his other book on Derivatives but I'm worried it will be too academic. But Traders Guns and Money is a great read. I think you have a very good point about a treasury and CDS connection. It explains alot...

Shorting stocks that end up falling < $5

US to nationalize pension plans as America becomes like Argentina

Pretty much anytime you lower rates to 0% you've nationalized the savings of the country. Now you need to be more than a millionaire to live on short term securities.

I can only guess Price but People are 100% predictable

Check out Woody Dorsey, he would agree to an extent. http://www.amazon.com/Behavioral-Trading-Measuring-Confidence-Expectations/dp/product-description/1587991640 It might be more accurate to say that price is a dictation of the herd and those against the herd.

    Market Bottom a la Mamis

I've backtested those kinds of things - not as easy as it sounds to make money from it as a "strategy". The easiest way is to take the # of highs versus lows, or versus an average and attempt to generate a buy/sell signal - usually just for the long side of a buy/sell signal. The other...
