    Fertilizer stocks out of favor

I've been noticing ag chemical stocks dropping in unison as well. Flipping back through my diary as far as September 8, I see that chems as a sector were down 1.20%, even though the Dow was up 289. Looking at Spetember 18, the Dow was up 410, but chems were the 2nd worst performing sector, only...

    Spammer

"It ain't the crime, it's the cover up". Most people probably wouldn't have cared very much that President Clinton was doing the interns in the White House. It was a widely known fact he was quite the horndog. But when he wagged his finger in our faces and said, "I did not have sexual...

House Members Get Flooded With Calls Supporting Bailout Plan

The senate votes tommorrow on the revamped bill and it's expected to pass easily as not very many of them are up for re-election. Then the house should get it on Thursday. And if it is really true that constituents have flip-flopped, then the bill will pass there too. Wall Street gets our...

    The Biden/Palin debate

Doesn't Biden have a history of sticking his foot in his mouth? He seems to find the worst possible thing to say at the worst possible time. Look forward to a gaffe or two from him. As long as Palin looks relaxed and smiles, she will be all right.

    Omg It Didn't Pass!

The google news aggregator sucks. It still hasn't picked up that this thing didn't pass. The top story on the regular news page still shows the stories before the vote, outcome looks uncertain. Google news looks buffoonic.

    Score One For America.

Maybe it isn't too early to celebrate. Even if they do eventually find a way to ram this down our throats, for at least a few minutes today there were some fat cats and politicians shitting their pants. They thought they had this in the bag.

    Omg It Didn't Pass!

Boy, this is getting interesting. What terms are they going to modify to get this thing to pass? Are they going to have to go to the private sector for a bailout? How many more institutions can JP Morgan, B of A or Berkshire buy? I really can't think of any way they can get this bill to...

    Omg It Didn't Pass!

I'm surprised, I thought the votes were there to pass it. The article I just read said that when the Dems saw there was not going to be enough Repub votes, some of them switched as well in order to save their seats. That tells me that they are indeed listnening to their constituents on this one...
