    Judge revokes Zimmerman's bond

His lawyer will undoubtedly file a motion to dismiss based on the SYG law, and then it will be up to the judge to decide if he will dismiss. However, the only evidence we have that Zim is under SYG is the word of Zim, and the judge is very pissed at Zim for not disclosing the money raised from a...

    Judge revokes Zimmerman's bond

Great find, thanks. If the judge does instruct the jury to consider lesser offenses, then there is a chance Zim could be found guilty. I don't think anybody believed he could possibly be convicted of 2nd degree murder.

    Judge revokes Zimmerman's bond

Does this mean that the prosecutor can reduce the charges? I've been wondering about this since day one when the charge was 2nd degree murder. Most analysts do not believe that a 2nd degree murder conviciton is feasible in this case, but I haven't heard anyone mention an amendment or reduction...

    M/I Homes, MHO

Have you guys been noticing the new highs in residential real estate stocks? KNX radio in LA did a story on a real estate investment company a couple of months ago that has been buying up foreclosed properties in so Cal and Nevada, it was a huge amount. I noticed in the last week of April that a...

Good one. DECK is on my short sale list too, but I didn't notice it until the end of April.

Covered the APKT short this morning at 24.04. Stocks in a downtrend tend to have vicious snap backs resulting in margin calls, so I don't like letting shorts ride.

    what happened to Nickolas Darvas

The charges against Darvas were dropped when Lefkowitz had to admit he did not have access to all of Darvas' financial accounts. In effect, all Lefkowitz accomplished was verifying that Darvas had a little over $200K profits in his US accounts. If you remember in his book "How I Made..", Darvas...

    Stock Model

I'm still short, it's falling nicely. However, a person named Ted Stamas is very bullish on it and wrote a piece on Seeking Alpha today. It didn't seem to help him very much though, it's down over a buck today. Article...

Almost a double on this thing now, (it was up to a double earlier this morning). The charts are giving me conflicting messages, so I'm probably not going to add to my position for now.

Nitro, are you still short APKT? I'm obviously late to the party, but I shorted it this morning at 27.64. Even though it's lost over half it's value in the last year, it still looks compelling as a short.

The Trader column in this week's Barron's

I've been having delivery problems too, but I kept complaining via phone and email and have gotten it two weeks straight now. 15 years ago I couldn't read Abelson unless I had a dictionary nearby, I can make it through most of his columns without one now. He has definitely increased my...

The Trader column in this week's Barron's

And speaking of Barron's - am I the last person in the world who has a subscription and reads the print edition? Do any of you guys read the print edition? Even newsstands don't carry it anymore.

The Trader column in this week's Barron's

Vito Racanelli writes about a report from Bespoke on Apple's rise and what it would have meant if Apple had been added to the Dow way back when instead of Cisco. Even though Apple's stock price is to high to be included in the Dow, the Dow would be at 15,000 when Apple hit $526 a share. Nice...

Athens. A few fires here and there.

Exactly, and it's getting old. Germany has got to be getting sick of it.

Athens. A few fires here and there.

So are the measures approved by the parliament today exactly what Germany and France want? It seems like we've been through this before, Germany and France demand austerity measures, they are approved in the Greek parliament, but somehow they are not implemented? Greece is acting like a petulant...

    Pepsico, (PEP) down today

After announcing it will keep Frito Lay. Last year when the rumors were swirling that it would spin off Frito, the stock jumped. Does anybody have any idea why the market wants Pepsico to spin off Frito Lay? It seems like Frito is a cash cow for Pepsico, so it doesn't make sense to me.

    Multimedia Gaming, (MGAM)

It first appeared on my radar back on 10/28/2012 when I noticed that it had made a new 52 week high that week and the volume was picking up. It took a slight dip in the beginning of November and when it looked like it was ready to make another spring up I bought it at 6.84 on November 18...

    Best Coffee

Back in the mid 90's I used to get coffee at Burger King, it was the best coffee ever. Someone told me that they served Farmer Brother's coffee there, can anyone confirm or deny this?

BAC last bid 4.98, S&P downgrades 37 global banks...

My neighbor has 60,000 shares of BAC at a little over 8. I really want to tell him to sell into this rally and get the hell away from it, but he's much wealthier than I am so i would be out of place to say it. I'm going to call him Monday and mention the rally to see what his plans are.

    Merry Christmas

Thanks for that video, nutmeg. Notice that The Great Communicator closed his speech with "God bless us every one". There was no exclusion, and I wish that everyone would take to heart Reagan's every one.
