    Virnetx, (VHC)

This thing has really been trashed lately, it looks like my stop saved me. It looks like it's getting jacked around by lawsuit rumors, apparently a columnist at Seeking Alpha wrote a bearish piece on it last week.

    3D printing.

It's breaking out strong today. There are probably a lot of buy stops at 40 too.

hughb: southamerica, your posts seem weird. hughb: but maybe it's me, not you. hughb: no, it's you, not me. hughb: unless you're writing a screenplay.

    Silver quarters pre-1965

I have some old pennies, 1890 and such, and some 1927-1929 quarters too. Those old quarters are worn thin, they feel like tokens.

    Silver quarters pre-1965

Thanks, finding a few things on Yelp.com. The search brings up jewelry stores, but they don't specifically say they buy coins.

    Silver quarters pre-1965

According to this website: http://www.coinflation.com/coins/1932-1964-Silver-Washington-Quarter-Value.html each quarter is worth a little over $5. Am I reading that correctly? If so, where can I sell them?

Obama administration hints at prosecuting Romney for tax evasion

Romney should have released his returns months ago. Even if it shows multiple offshore accounts, the issue would have blown over by now. The only reason I can figure that he hasn't released them is that there is something in them that could create the appearance of illegality. Romney has...

Alien washes up on Manhattan shore

If it was a dog, where is the hair? BTW, Animal Control said it was a pig, which it obviously isn't.

Site to publish your records (Not a CTA)

Well, I can't find it now, but there was a site that was set up as a contest site and it was based on your actual account. It seems like I remember it once being mentioned in conjunction with that Sykes character that used to post here, so I included his name in the search terms when I searched...

    JS Global Macro Notes

Aha, that's easy to overlook - I have no immediate or exteneded family members to drain my bank account in later years. When you read a story about adult children moving back into their parent's home, you have to wonder how much of an unexpected expense it is for the parents. And how embarrasing...

Social media users - what do you think?

All of the people on my friend list have different reasons for being on facebook. One uses it to complain about his headaches, one uses it to spew political tripe, most just post occaisonal tidbits about what is going on with them. They aren't misfits at all. I post about once a month or so.

RE: The idiots nearing retirement with less than 30K savings: They probably have some type of pension and they will also be getting social security. A friend of mine retired from a defense contractor back in 1991, and recently his pension and social security were bringing in $2,800 per month...

someone here on ET once posted a chart of the Shanghai stock market index and superimposed a picture of his book, "A Bull in China" on the chart on the date that it was released. The market tanked right after the book's release.

    JS Global Macro Notes

Back in the early/mid 90's the WSJ would do a story about Rogers, or mention him in the course of doing a story. It was usually negative slanted, and I really didn't understand why. Maybe they didn't like his folksy aphorisms? Wasn't he a gloom and doomer back then too? Anyway, he did and...

    Ezcorp, (EZPW)

This one made it onto my watch list as a possible short sale candidate when it made a new low in the last week of May. The downward move paused and the stock price moved sideways for a couple of weeks and then rose slightly to 25, and that little rise appeared as a possible entry for a short...

Obama Tells Entrepreneurs “You Didn’t Build” Your Business

Now that's good ad. It doesn't even appear as an attack ad so much as it is a defensive ad. If Romney campaigns in the spirit of that ad, specifically on this issue, he just might get the White House. This election is close, it needs a tipping point. The "you didn't build that" just might be...

Obama Tells Entrepreneurs “You Didn’t Build” Your Business

California is a solid blue state, so candidates rarely campaign here and we rarely see election ads. However, people in Ohio, Florida and other battleground states should be seeing and hearing a lot of ads. Are any of you seeing any ads over this "you didn't build that" remark? The Romney...
