That's part of what prompted this thread. I don't hear of anybody buying now to avoid higher taxes later. The higher taxes are self-imposed, it was voted for by the majority of Californians. Perhaps they simply don't mind paying a higher sales tax.

Wow, according to wikipedia, out of the top 10 employers in San Bernardino, 8 are government or government related. The only two private sector employers were Wells Fargo and Stater Brothers. Amazon is planning to open a distribution center there sometime soon.
