There's still more than 90 minutes before the close. Any serious buying can appear as late as 15 minutes before market closes. The most worrisome indicator for longs including myself is the level of complacency that is reflected in the VIX. It is not in panic mode...yet.

True, and Banks are not helping when they're hoarding cash and using it for more profitable means. Their mortgage lending activities have dropped significantly( probably on purpose) compared to 5 years ago, and that's making people feel insecure, even for credit worthy consumers.
