INSANITY: 1 Year After Crisis Spawned by Their Idiocy, Bankers Expect Record Bonuses

That is such a simple solution but yes, how do you get people to do it? It's all about perception. People believe JPM is safer than XYZ Neighborhood Bank, which simply isn't the case. I closed all my accounts with Chase (even though it was a pain in the ass) because I just don't want to do...

    CITI is ripping us off

I owe $140 on my C credit card. Regardless of whether they raise my rate or not I will pay this off when the bill comes in and I'll never use this card again. I will never go business with C ever again. What criminals!

    CITI is ripping us off

I got an 845 credit score and they haven't raised my rate yet. Is there some criteria they are using to select accounts to raise or are they doing it across the board. My wife has a card with a $59k credit limit and her rate is still 13.99%. Perhaps we just haven't gotten our notice yet.

Last week,CRAMER said "CAT wont drop to mid 50s".Today CAT 54.20

Hilarious, why is it that everyone who talks about Cramer and his picks starts with..."I don't watch the show but..." That's like "My friend has a drinking problem but..."

Last week,CRAMER said "CAT wont drop to mid 50s".Today CAT 54.20

Well shit, if you paid me 10M per year to get on TV and make predictions on something I know nothing about and run around and scream and push buttons that make idiotic sounds and act like a pure lunatic, I'd do it.

Ratigan nails how "dark pools" rip off traders: Dark pool trading = 10% of volume

I haven't watched the video but yes, shares actually can be created out of thin air via naked short swindling, much the same way money is created out of thin air. I suppose you could say the US economy is just one big collection of thin air.

Is there any CTA who charges clients the management and incentive fees QUARTERLY?

Correct. It's just an accrual account for the entire quarter. If an investor does not withdraw any funds during the quarter then there isn't much difficulty assigning the accrual amount. If they do withdraw then it gets a bit messy. Lockup periods are typically to keep accounting easy...

Is there any CTA who charges clients the management and incentive fees QUARTERLY?

You list it as an accrued fee to the investor each month and reconcile it at quarter's end.

GMAC Asks for Fresh Taxpayer Lifeline

Nah, it's not that. This is an indirect way of bailing out GM. A large part of their revenue/profits are derived from lending activities rather than manufacturing activities. If GMAC falls GM falls.

    How do you pay yourself?

I cash out trading profits each month. In the event that trading profits are low I will sometimes withdraw equity with the intention of replacing it at a future date with trading profits. If I have a negative month I typically forgo a check. Trading can be a harsh business. You have to be...

    Short Memories at Goldman

There you go falling into the stereotypical trap. What you see on your country's nightly news is often far from the case. Our media presents the popluation in the Middle East as nothing but terrorists, as though the entire continent is a terrorist state. You rarely get to see the parts of the...

    Short Memories at Goldman

Exactly. The international community equates the will of the American Government with the will of American Citizens, and that couldn't be farther from the truth.

    Short Memories at Goldman

LOL. I know a few arrogant Frenchmen or Germans, perhaps even a few Iranians. Arrogance is widespread around the world. It's part of the human curse.

Bank run - Depositors bring down Dutch bank

There is no worry about the FDIC. If they need to back the assets of some bank they simply go over to their computer and type in whatever number they need and then withdraw that number from their current balance. If their current balance gets too low then the FED goes over to its computer and...

Goldman Sachs Tells SEC Dark Pools, Short Sales Help Cut Costs

The only way to fix the problem is for the citizens of the US to unite, which isn't something that can be planned or coordinated. It's something that happens on its own. No one drew up a formal game plan for the Revolutionary War. It was based on a series of events that pushed the population...
