Though E*Trade reportedly talked with rivals about being acquired, Chicago-based Citadel Investment Group dared to tread where others wouldn't go, buying up E*Trade's most troubled assets for 27 cents on the dollar. Citadel will inject $2.5 billion in cash onto E*Trade's balance sheet, including...

Here is a real world example of 123 pattern, simple but powerful. What I like is that you can set a tight stop, if you are wrong then out and on to the next trade. Like the w pattern or double bottom pattern Anek talks about, one more thing for the arsenal.

Here is a 60 minute spy chart. This is a three bar pattern, to me this is a failure pattern to get into a reversal. Meaning the high bar, you can set the stop at high of day, etc. http://www.trading-naked.com/Articles_and_Reprints.htm 123 system

    Say GoodBye to Countrywide

I keep getting these 40 year mortgage refi offers, makes my blood boil as probably like 6/10 people in this country don't know why this is bad, this is really criminal. I don't wish harm on anyone but this kind of shit should be outlawed. In Illinois there are no usury laws meaning you probably...

Somewhat like pivot points where certain areas become resistance. Your explanation is helpful, thanks Spectre. Where do you think the yen will be end of year?

Believe it or not I have thought alot about this. The problem calls for many assumptions, like what is the average daily standard deviation, sticking with your first call I would say it makes it questionable whether markets are random. I don't think they are as it is only finite math here...

Here is a chart of the es dec continuous contract with 10, 50, and 200 period moving average. This is in here for the record. Interesting that the lines crossed around 1500 in September, still below the 50 and 200 on a daily basis.

    Guy passed out

On a serious note there is an audible thud, he was trying to explain retail spending/ consumer. I am guessing panic attack. Again I hope he's ok.

I think the guy was trying to make a point about sub prime, maybe he got a look at his brokerage statement.

This is classic, shit if you had an expensive suit you could be a typical wall street analyst. Thanks for keping it real.:)

    Guy passed out

I saw it, Dylan Ratigan was intervewing this cat from the Standard and Poors, he seemed like he was nervous and couldn't answer the question, there was a pause and an audible thud, they cut away and in typical CNBC fashion with no explanation. My guess is he was nervous and passed out, I hope...
