caught this breakout for a nice scalp, sorry it is after the fact the move was too quick. My thinking is that the inflationary news is short term bullish. entry spy $148.50 exit $148.95. As I type this spy is back around my entry point. The market is one interesting giant discounting mechanism...

If you are directionally trading options then you want the spreads to be as thin as possible. To my knowledge spy and qqqq at most a tick apart on the most liquid strikes with the newer penny pricing. Example GS is a stock I like to play with for direction, however the spread is routinely .30...

Looking at the charts I would say overhead resistance is around $1525.00 on the cash. Still have to be somewhat bearish here.

Somebody on another thread was talking about a long straddle (buy call, buy put). This can be a profitable trade if you know when to chop a leg. Good trading. :) Edit: I should say on fed day where there is heightened volatility.

Nice charts, can you comment on the "jump across the river" from Wyckoff, is that refering to consolidation?

Thank you Citigroup for making ETFC a cash machine.

You think Citadel would accept a 12% note from etrade if they thought they were going out of business? Nope. I agree with your thinking here.

That is my thinking as well, there certainly is more bad news to come but its hard to say whether the market will discount it. Now, tomorrow is fed day, have no idea but will say 50 basis cut and ensuing rally. Is the consenus .25 , anyone know what the fed funds is pricing in?
