    EXAS April options mis-priced

Yeah, that's why I don't do it anymore:) Had some good trades, but overall results are what is important. Liquidity is very important and if I went back to this, I'd try to do a better job screening candidates. I don't know what the probability of this event is, but what is essentially a...

    EXAS April options mis-priced

Certainly went through my biotech phase. We'd see vols of 500-700 sometimes as expiry approached. Price based on event. There's so much uncertainty, that vol trading only makes sense. I'd guess 2 on failure. The market likes to do certain things. I don't know anything about this, but...

    S&P E-Mini Options on Futures

"high probably" (sic) is what jumped out at me. ES options trade in nickels below 5 and quarters above 5.

I get your point, though. March was hectic and I'm just getting back into the swing of things. No sense in being hard on myself.

Of course. I was just kidding. Been using some longer term stuff and timing gets difficult. Day trading can be easier in that respect. Actually, I've done nothing to be ashamed of. Some might even call it good trading. There was a certain irony to that post. But, you know, it's...

Yeah, tricky situation as I'm unsure as to the potential of this downside. Probably should switch to shorter time frames now that my focus is kinda returning. Um, this is the CL Redux thread, isn't it?

There we go. It's getting better. Easter company gone. I've been such a lazy trader lately. Too many distractions. The thing I do is cut size during these times. Helping young pregnant folks and taking care of old folks can be way more stressful than trading. Taking care of old folks...

I've never been asked that question. They probably see the hungry look in my eyes and just give me the money. We used to joke that we were gonna have to start robbing liquor stores so that we could keep trading.

There's probably about as many trading styles as there are traders. We all develop funky systems. But I'm sure that we end up doing about the same thing as many others. For me, a key is to remain flexible. And it ain't pretty, sometimes.

Short oil and getting killed. Sub-95 makes it OK. At 98, I bail by neutralizing risk. What's gonna happen first? Made some money via time decay, but am now net long premium, a rare position for me.

Look at what happened to Livermore. Best trading lesson, ever. Veterans sometimes tell newbies, "survive, then thrive." But survival applies to all levels of experience.

Easily, one of my favorite Beatles songs. Friggin' brilliant. And a Paul song to boot - a rarity, I preferred John. As usual, the harmonies are just amazing. You know they're like about 25 year-olds when they do this stuff. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXkokyBlktA

I went to Good Friday services tonight, but I was so friggin' tired, my head was dropping, and the service was way too long. I had to take myself out of the game and took a walk around the church. Just to add insult to injury, there was a rabbit hopping around in the bushes. My gardener...
