The trend has been bullish since almost the beginning of 2011. I see no reason to risk betting against that until the tide clearly changes.

This is my thought as well. Much less access to information back in those days. Today, anybody can look up something from a number of different sources over the internet. Back then, you had to take whatever the newspaper printed at face value.
