FCC approve the usage of F--king on TV

Yeah...could have been an intelligent discussion instead of this childish flame-fest.

FCC approve the usage of F--king on TV

Remember when one of the big networks aired Schindler's List UNCUT a few years ago? They showed tits, said 'Fuck' and all that back in the late 90's. Guess they figured nobody would complain because of the historical importance? P.S. Anybody who likes censorship is free to create their...

    Besides the fact that capitalism

A message board where you'll feel far more at home. http://www.hipforums.com/ It's a hippy message board I like. (My thinking does overlap with theirs on personal liberty issues. )

To Fight or Not to Fight: When is the Question

Hitler was on a path to take all of Europe (except perhaps the UK), the entire Soviet Union, plus northern Africa... and the US was already physically attacked by Germany's ally. I'm not saying Hitler was more evil or more racist than Saddam- but he was a hell of alot more powerful & dangerous...

    American Atheists...wow are they great

Sure. Any highly influential book deserves a read. I'm even planning to read the Turner Diaries when I'm in a strong stomach kind of mood. Anybody else here read influential books they know they'll disagree with?

    Supreme Court Overturns First Amendment

***In what weird parallel universe would Americans vote for abortion on demand, affirmative action, forced busing, licensing of gun owners and a ban on the death penalty? Whatever dangers lurk in a self-governing democracy, the American people have never, ever passed a law that led to the murder...

    American Atheists...wow are they great

Most of the important philosophical writings, especially the Greek/German genres, are written rather dryly IMO as raw philosophy. However, Ayn Rand's novels (much like Orwell's) are truly a good interesting read. You won't be bored or disappointed...

    American Atheists...wow are they great

Thanx Surfer. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, Shoeshineboy, I recommend you read Atlas Shrugged. On the role of government, Ayn Rand was the polar opposite of Karl Marx and his ilk ...yet she was an atheist.

    Abercrombie and Fitch-discrimination or capitalism?

Alfonso...so at first you defend the practice of racial profiling, and then you write in favor of workplace anti-discrimination laws. At first glance these seem like opposite viewpoints, but they really are not. They're both pro- Big Government. You seem to admire government as some great...

    Buchanan, "Whose War?"

I'm speechless beacuse I fear Buchanan may be partially correct. Here's something I don't understand though: If a 2% minority is able to twist and manipulate the vast majority to our will, what does that say about the 98% majority? How weak minded & easily manipulated are they?

    Abercrombie and Fitch-discrimination or capitalism?

I totally see your point. Of course if all African-Americans were like my friend, there would be zero black crime, and cops would racially profile everyone but blacks. No easy answers.

    Abercrombie and Fitch-discrimination or capitalism?

A trader who I back (I don't make a habit of backing traders, just this one friend who's extremely ambitious, bright & Objectivist.) was really late to show up for a meeting with me last month. He (black guy with a very cheap looking car ) calls me after a while from the police station, saying...

    Abercrombie and Fitch-discrimination or capitalism?

Closer to reality than you know. Three years ago I went with my wife (then girlfriend) to my favorite amusement park in the world- Busch Gardens near Tampa Bay. At Busch Gardens they have like a mini-Safari where you get a guided trolley tour and see all sorts of exotic wild animals. So the...

    Abercrombie and Fitch-discrimination or capitalism?

It clearly isn't legal for a private party to engage in racial prejudice. Even if it were legal, It would be morally wrong. However, it's even more morally wrong for government to force people into business transactions against thier will.
