    Order Execution for Scalping

Here's how I use my brackets with IB. My bracket contains buy limit, sell stop, and sell limit (for longs). The bracket order is displayed by selecting the row and using the assigned hotkeys for buy or sell. Size, price, transmit, and cancel are also set up for hot keys. These can be...

1/4% Tax on all stock trades pushed in NY Times today

Corrected to "a bill they vote for."

1/4% Tax on all stock trades pushed in NY Times today

It will not pass as a stand alone bill. There is too much opposition from the industry. It may pass, however, because it will be attached to a bill that many in congress will not read. They may or may not be against the tax, but many will not know it is in a bill they sign.

    Unofficial TWS bug thread

Yes. When I'm getting ready to enter, I click the bid or ask price and wait for the order to come up. That’s when my freeze occurs. When the order finally appears, I check the hot keys and make sure everything is working. My freeze ups have only been 10 to 20 seconds and only seem to...

If Glenn Beck is the 'New Star' of Fox News, I'll Make A Prediction Right Now...

It seems Beck was a rising star at CNN until they decided to drop his repeat in favor of Dobbs. Or maybe FOX just made a better offer. Either way, he is out there on some issues. No question. When I first saw him, I had to look at the channel twice. I couldn't believe it was CNN...

Nasdaq-100 : End of Bull Leg?

Today's high (Q's, 34.40) occurred in the vicinity of a pivot low (34.35) which occurred during the week of 4/29, 2005. Combined with overbought conditions and a looming panic over flu, seemed like a reasonable entry for a short. Doesn't seem like this rally wants to end, so my stop is...

    Arlen Specter(D)-Pennsylvania

Yes, I agree with that for the most part. Not all media, but do you deny that media is quite one sided? We know FOX is biased, but are the others unbiased? I don't see such evidence. Have they questioned any of the trillions that are being spent? Have they questioned anything? I have...

    Arlen Specter(D)-Pennsylvania

Your right. The left railed against it (after they voted for it), and the media trumpeted their displeasure. I'm talking an 8 year period. The constant drumbeat against Bush was a check on power, and look how it worked. Now, I ask you again, where are they now? Most wouldn't even...

    Arlen Specter(D)-Pennsylvania

The media railed against it. Where are they now? They have chosen a side. They are no longer a check. If I'm not mistaken, Obama is keeping some of those patriot act elements intact.

    Arlen Specter(D)-Pennsylvania

The left didn't really need the supermajority as they were already planning on getting their way through: Budget reconciliation International treaties Eventually the courts Liberal republicans joining the cause (Snowe, Collins, and McCain) And that's just a few examples. The right...

POLL: Do you think ET's Politics&Religion forum has become a complete waste of time?

Yes. When spell checking becomes more important than content, when people have views regarding constitutional rights which cause them to be automatically lumped together with radicals, and senseless polls abound, one has to wonder if it's even worth viewing as entertainment.

An Example Of Liberal Respect For Free Speech

Even though you quoted me, your response had absolutely nothing to do with my post. You apparently missed the point I was making, or maybe you chose to ignore it. I, however, will address something in your response. What do you call republicans staying home in large numbers during 2006...

An Example Of Liberal Respect For Free Speech

The reaction to the election was so predictable. Once Obama was elected, any criticism of the current administration would be labeled racism, or even extremism by the left. A large part of the MSM is right there to level charges rather than examine the criticisms, which speaks for itself...

Wells Fargo projects record first quarter profits

I'm taking a shot on the short side over the weekend as well. My reasons. In the cubes, there was a gap up April 2. 212 million shares traded that day. My modified RSI indicator hit 75. The next day the cubes closed only a few pennies higher then the previous day high and my RSI...
