the problem may be with specific servers. I believe that IB returns cumulative volume on DAX only on some of the servers

they use LAST TRADE size and add it up. QT goes by cumulative volume. Since IB is not a tick by tick datafeed, using LAST TRADE is not feasible since then the volume is totally inacurate.

Yes you can. As for bugs, there are no known issues with either of the datafeeds as far as the QT software is concerned. As far as the datafeed, Scottrade is one continuous bug, so whether you run production or beta version of QT isn't going to make a difference. Prophet - there is no "free"...

reiehaxm Wouldn't expect a lag on that setup unless the charts are totally loaded up with every indicator and/or paintbar you could think of and tracking all high volume symbols. What is the chart refresh rate set to? Was the chart behind the quote in TWS, or the quote in QT itself...

Eldredge, If you are feeding the data into Excel, why don't you just get the quotes on the 2 symbols, do the subtraction and chart the result right in excel for the time being?

see, there is another thing for our todo list..... We do have various APIs that we are working on, just not indicator stuff. Trading and streaming data API for example.
