    Making DVD's from recordings

you are looking at the Nero Buring ROM module. That is used for buring the DVD or CD and expects all the files to be in the correct format. Instead, you need to start Nero Vision Express. That handles the conversion, etc.

    Making DVD's from recordings

There are plenty of programs for that with various complexity. I would just get Nero. You would just select the option to make a DVD Video, drag the AVI or MPG files to the window, select the menus if any that you want, and it will convert everything as needed and burn the DVD...

    IB without Java?

QuoteTracker API supports several brokers, including IB already. What I meant was I can create a configuration specifically using the WebTrader interface. It is just an HTML site, so would be easy to implement. We do that now with various others (Ameritrade for example). Just issue the same...

    IB without Java?

Bowgett, If there is sufficient interest, I could probably make it work through our API, but then you would have to have QT running (even if its just minimized) instead of TWS.

Access to 1 week IB backfill through QuoteTracker?

FYI - QuoteTracker version 3.6.3H (released today) has support for 5 day backfill using Interactive Brokers as the datafeed. NOTE: Best results with TWS version 849 or higher. http://www.quotetracker.com/beta

    Good Software

Tom R, I work for myself, not MX. A simple check of my profile would have told you that. Whether its on topic to you is irrelevant. Its off topic for everyone else and THAT irritates the other people on this board, including me, so it IS my business. If you want to flame the company...

    Good Software

Tom R Its a fee country, BUT its a privately owned message board, which has its own rules. so, NO, you do NOT have the right to post anything you want anywhere you want. Your post is completely off topic, so can it.

Nasdaq Level II (III, IV, V)?

well, it gives more info on the depth, but then you lose info on ECNs. So I guess it depends on what is important to you. And yes, it is the same as Money.net's offering.

Nasdaq Level II (III, IV, V)?

Yes, but you said "I saw today that CBOE offers not only Level II but also III, IV, V" There is no such thing mentioned on that page, nor are the things offered "Level III", "Level IV", "Level V". The offering is standard Level I quotes, Level II quotes and PowerView (which I think they...

Nasdaq Level II (III, IV, V)?

What III, IV and V do you see on the CBOE site? They just offer pretty much the standard datafeed choices, with data from Money.net

    IB TWS Time & Sales

If you are referring to volume charts - where each bar is a fixed volume amount, then the answer is no, but the difference will be insignificant unless you set the bar size to be very low volume.
  16. j_medved

    IB TWS Time & Sales

Not sure what volume chart you are referring to. The volume on most charts is for way more than 1 tick, so if for example you are looking at 1 minute charts, you are not going to see any difference in the volume bars from IB data vs a tick by tick datafeed. For displaying of volume, you are...

    IB TWS Time & Sales

That would depend on which specific charting software you are using.

    IB TWS Time & Sales

Yes, but IB datafeed does not return all individual trades for the day. Its not a tick-by-tick datafeed. Therefore, if the charting software you use just sums up last size instead of looking at the cumulative volume data that TWS does send, then the total will be smaller than the actual...

    IB TWS Time & Sales

With QuoteTracker if IB is the datafeed, then the raw data window is not showing true T&S unless the symbol being tracked happens to trade less often than IB updates. When using a non-tick datafeed, the volume values for each row in the raw data window can represent volume from multiple trades

So where's this extended backfill that was due "mid-next week" by IB ??

lojze, We are working on historical charts right now. Other features are the multiday backfill (last of the kinks will be worked out with that after the next TWS update) Also will be releasing support for a couple of brokers using PATS
