If your datafeed supports forex (IB, IQFeed, eSignal, EFX/MB Trading), you would just use whatever symbols the datafeed uses for those pairs. QT cannot do alerts on indicators though. It does have a bunch of other alerts

sounds like you are using QT. Negative Volume means TWS returned a cumulative volume quote that was lower than the volume on the previous quote. Should not happen, but does with TWS. Basically, ignore those.
