    Hit F1 key - brings up context sensitive help. So if you are on a chart and hit F1, you will get a screen with everything you ever wanted to know about QT charts, and then some :)

    easyrider - the beta QT version has variable width OHLC bars. (don't remember if you were the one who originally requested it). So if there is room, QT does draw the OHLC bars thicker, up to 5 or 6 pixels wide I think

    Thanks Bandit. As for 3 month chart, if you use the beta version of QT: http://www.quotetracker.com/beta its real-time by default - QT uses the intraday OHL and LAST data to build the last candle on the chart.

    Usually delayed sources do not bother with pre/after market data. We recommend Marketfeed and IQFeed for that. Your broker may also work well, depending on who you trade through.

    The problem was QT specific, not IB. It had to do with how much data was being returned, and futures tend to have more data for 5 day backfill than stocks. As for offering daily bars, I tried requesting more than 5 days of data with 1 day frequency using the beta TWS and still got an error...

    you can right click on the symbol or chart and select BACKFILL. You can also go to OPTIONS/Data Sources menu, BACKFILL tab, select Interactive Brokers as the backfill source and set it to auto backfill whenever a chart is brought up.

    The symbol in question would be SGX:@SSIH6 in QuoteTracker. Backfill should work fine for it with IB. Make sure to get the current beta of QT (3.7.0C) since it has a fix for IB backfill for many futures symbols

    ADVFN is for UK symbols only. If you need US, there is no free Real-Time source available unless you have a brokerage account with one of the supported brokers. What broker do you trade through?
