    QT features?

No, there isn't. We really avoid using toolbars (and thus buttons) because they waste a lot of screen space.

    QT features?

Jay, remember how I said QT relies on the right click menu? Right click on the chart. Select Chart Type. Select Candlestick If you want to make that the default, configure the chart however you want the default chart to look like, then right click on it and select "Save Template and reset all"

    Windows XP

Also, make sure to get all the updates available via Windows update. I had some explorer crashes a while back, but now I can have my computer up without a reboot or explorer crash for weeks (3 weeks right now)

    QT features?

Not quite - when they bring up the 5 min chart - there will always be some limitation. You will either see a lot of days, but the bars will be small or it will be zoomed in and you have to make the bars smaller to see longer periods. Or, as with some programs, if you make the chart window...

    QT features?

the total time displayed on the X axis of the chart is the time period. The time covered by each bar is the frequency. So if you have a 10 day, 60 min freq chart, you will see 70 bars (7 bars per day) OHLC - QT resizes the bars dynamically as needed. Try it

MS Outlook Files - .pst and archive

if outlook downloaded the messages, then next time it will know that it already downloaded them. In this case, THIS outlook did not download the messages before and there is nothing on the server to indicate whether or not a given message has previously been downloaded. POP3 mail is not...

    QT features?

Prophet's charts are tied to the portfolio/watchlist. QT's are not. if you want to scroll through a set of symbols on the chart, you can link the chart, then click on the first symbol in the portfolio, then use the down arrow to move to the next one. The chart will change to the new symbol.

    QT features?

That assumes that there is just one portfolio. QT can have multiple - the symbol can be in multiple portfolios as well, and then there is also the watchlist that can be used to open charts. That option is not feasible.

    QT features?

Jayford, Since you now got some replies from QT users, I figured I would jump in. 1) Backfill speed - Its mainly dependent on the datafeed vendor. eSignal for example is very fast. So is Ameritrade. For historical data, BigCharts is very fast as well (equities only). Some others are...

Bob, that is just a quick way of weeding out people with computers that will not be able to handle the load from TWS But seriously, the CPU usage is most likely caused by that scrolling ticker. I have seen it a dozen times. PLEASE get rid of it, for your own sake. It adds no value at all...

Finally, a stripped down TWS made possible with new build 854?

    1) he has an IZone account (stripped down Ameritrade account, no order routing, online support only - no phone): www.izone.com That gets you down to $5 2) Then, (going from memory here) I think if you pay $50 per year or something like that, you can knock the commission down to $3...

    Medved and Forex?

QuoteTracker does not support Oanda because they charge something like $600 per month for their API. The QT supported vendors that have forex data right now are: Brokerages: Interactive Brokers - http://www.interactivebrokers.com EFX Group - http://www.efxgroup.com MB Trading -...

    IB TWS Book Trader question

Also, if you are mainly familiar with CyberTrader, then the comparable screen in TWS would be Level II/Market Depth. That is the one that is more common for Level II display. IB's book trader is a DOM interface, which is more common for commodities trading (though I do not see any reason why...

    IB TWS Book Trader question

I think there was some miscommunication. If it was only displaying Level I data, you would see only one row.
