The TIME in QT export data is always in US Eastern time. You would need to adjust it yourself to convert to any other time zone

@david63 On the Alerts screen, you can click on ALERT DEFAULTS tab and set the default audio alert. NOTE: QT lets you set separate defaults for each alert type, so first select the alert type, then set the audio default. Repeat for each alert type that you use.

mmoy, E*Trade - it works fine here without having to do anything special, as long as you don't have any prompt on login when done via web site.. If they show a prompt, such as suspicious activity notice, QT login will fail. TDA - "Flaky" is a bit vague. they seem to work here.

@david63, What QT version? What quote datafeed? What backfill datafeed? what type of symbols? (stocks, futures, etc)

Assuming that the CPU is not maxed out, it really shouldn't be an issue as far as QT itself locking up, unless it is getting an internal error. I can run it for a week with OX datafeed without lockups or crashes, though it does happen every once in a while. Not much you can do about it at this...

Qtradermike, do you mean QT stops responding to mouse and keyboard? I have seen some drops in datafeed from OX, but forcing a reconnect usually fixes it (RIGHT-click on site selection combo box and select one of the servers, even if the same one that is already checked)

the qtfix.zip doesn't have the updates for the tda config files, so the data would have to accumulate.

No, this foolishness is all Ameritrade. If IB did that, people would complain, IB would see the complaints and fix the issue and access would be restored (as was visible with the volume issue recently)

@sledgeyum - he is not nuts. Once the account is "upgraded" (gotta love the irony), access to the regular TDA API is lost, so Strategy Desk, or any 3rd party apps such as Cool-Trade, NinjaTrader, QT, etc, will no longer work.

I just tried stockwatch with QT 3.9.8a and it worked fine. Do you get some error? Green connection indicator on the stop button? Try clearing all data (FILE/Clear Data For All Symbols menu)
