it looks like more profit taking - my opinion is that the market is still trying to find a bottom. of particular interest to me is that crude looks to have a floor around 70, and that gold looks to be eyeing 700 again......

if the fed raises rates, the USD/oz goes down because the dollar gets stronger...... if the fed raises rates because of inflation people will run to gold, causing the commodity to go up in price.... we all know it's not a zero-sum move, so which side will win at the end of june...

yeah, i did back in january. i've only been at this for a little over a year and am still learning a great deal. I didn't get smoked on aapl so much as I didn't take the profits off the table when I should have..(edit: i had a 12 bagger and just let it deflate.......) from my limited TA...

my bias is still bullish, as the past 12 months have been. this have definately been a more expensive lesson then it should have been. I'm going to wait a few weeks until the consolidation is over...

i just looked at some vix vs. spx 16 month charts... maybe 10 more sessions of this garbage, then the bulls will be start coming back. if there is a pandemic of bird flu, all bets are off.

bird flu? hurricanes? Iran? my lack of expereince is showing - i don't buy any of the above as reasons for this selling. the only stretch is new bir flu information, but i don't know, it doesn't feel like it's enough to cause this pump-and-dump stuff that's going on.

nope - the rule gives brokers a choice - 90 days or bring equity over 25k. i keep the scottrade account for the tools - come with trade ideas, level 2, and live newswires. other account is with IB. love those guys.....

I'll admit it - actually I had margin on my scottrade account taken away for violating the PDT rule - again. :cool:
