Trump says he'll make a "very big announcement" Nov. 15

The dictatorship takeover is the Trump factor. The Republicans ran too many January 6th morons across the country. SCOTUS was a headwind and it may have put incumbents like Hasan over the edge even without Trump. However, even with SCOTUS: GA, PA, and AZ all would have been called for...

FL was middle of the pack despite having an elderly population. Mask mandates or not, the people who did the worst are the people who live the unhealthiest (such as MS), the elderly, and those unwilling to get vaccinated. COVID is clearly fading as an issue, but it was a boost for Republicans...

Trump says he'll make a "very big announcement" Nov. 15

If Trump weren't influencing Republican politics they would have probably cleaned up last night with the only headwind for them being SCOTUS. Everything else was in the Republican's favor: 81% think the economy is shit, Biden's approval rating around 40%. To quote Robert Downey Jr in Tropic...

People moving down here are definitely more Republican. However, they actually cleaned up here, because of major shifts in the Hispanic vote. They won both Miami-Dade and Hillsborough (Tampa) counties which they never do. Young people and minorities also generally approved of the COVID policy.

The election hasnt happened and Nate Silver is already backtracking

Data For Progress which leans left actually came out with polls confirming the right-wingers at Trafalgar/Insider Advantage on Monday. We saw the GOP exceed even the high expectations in FL, but they underperformed elsewhere. Clearly, WA and NH were never actually in play.

You can blame 2 things: Trump not going away and the overturning of Roe v. Wade. Or maybe too Republicans moved to FL over the past couple of years? Because the margins here compared to everywhere else in 2020 is pretty incredible.

Vance is really starting to pull away now so it looks like OH and NC are falling back to the GOP as expected. The tsunami wave doesn't look to be happening. It will come down to PA, WI, GA, AZ, and NV. I doubt WA will be in play as some thought it might. Looks like Hochul will probably keep NY...

I got several mailers from the Seminole Tribe under "Protect our Values Political Committee". As soon as 8:00 hit and polls closed, the race was called for Rubio and DeSantis. That means they ran it up massively here.

Ohio is a massive split ticket. Right now, 51.9-48.1 vs 62.8-37.1. DeWine has 11 points more than Vance. That just shows how bad of a candidate Vance is.

Republicans might win Miami-Dade County which basically means goodnight to being a swing state. They've really done well basically selling the communista/socialista crap to scare Hispanics here.

It also looks like the .9% difference for the Libertarian candidate in GA between Governor and Senate is completely taking away from Walker, because Warnock is doing 3.5 points better than Abrams and Walker is doing 4.3 points worse than Kemp. So that difference implies the .9% probably went...

There's definitely a large split between Kemp and Walker. Kemp looks to be doing 4-5 points better which is consistent with the polls. A runoff in that race seems very likely.
