Sure, there's a long bias on equities. But as long as Buy/Hold traders and Mutual Funds have drawdowns, there are opportunity for speculators.

If I were to use CCI... I would use it as part of one style... not solely on it. That goes with most technical oscillator.

Popular doesn't exactly mean good... Also, every system has phases... Some that are good right now can be good tomorrow, and bad ones now can go good anytime. In one view, due to the computer power and sophistication of programs... what is popular is can be said as what is working right...

Serious but a cynical answer: Open an account and start trading... (bad advice for a newbie, but it's true) A more newbie friendly answer is to get a job in a hedge fund, major institutional bank, or investment house.

What I can say is: I've been trading the time the system was performing and outperformed those performances in terms of all stats you've given... and... Great... hopefully it works in the future...

Read it carefully... doesn't say cure... The term clinical effect is very abstract in medical terms... It's just like the term, "It works" in trading... :D :D :D

I'm in Japan right now and I agree. It's not that they're manipulators. The whole financial system is ran over "fuzzy" interpretations. Simply, Japanese people aren't good at taking responsibility over any potential influences / conflicts / etc... Gotta remember, difference in culture is...
