Vixy reaching new lows, time to buy?

Or better yet just invest in VIX futures directly. Unless you're really wedded to the equal tenor exposure of the ETFs they don't appear to have any benefits over directly investing in the two underlying securities they each invest in.

USVI - St John & St Thomas

Internet speeds are the least of your concerns if you're considering moving there because you've got fantasies of tropical paradise and tax free trading. It's a love it or hate it kind of place. You may well be lucky and be one of those who loves it, but odds are against it if you've lived your...

Same stock listed under different names?

They come in the data package Yahoo is using. Just deciding what can or can't be traded by retail traders is a huge job, let alone staying on top of it to filter them out. That all costs money, why spend it when the only benefit is???

How can a pre-merger SPAC trade over $20?

It seems to be a bubble based supply and demand issue, which would point toward the secondary investors paying in. For whatever reason a PE firm can't get as much for a company by doing a traditional IPO as by selling it to a SPAC even though the resulting company is identical, irrationality...

Student loan borrowers refusing to pay. You signed the contract now pay what you owe!!!!!

As an FYI, the term "moral hazard" has a very specific meaning in finance, it's worth a google.

How can a pre-merger SPAC trade over $20?

Seems the play is to set up a SPAC, do a secondary offering at a price way above the cash value of the SPAC, then just dissolve the SPAC and pay the cash out as a dividend. I always thought the old closed end funds trading at a premium to NAV should have done that too. @blueraincap you're...

Student loan borrowers refusing to pay. You signed the contract now pay what you owe!!!!!

I've always believed the world would be a far better place if tax exempt status for universities and religious organizations were both revoked.

Student loan borrowers refusing to pay. You signed the contract now pay what you owe!!!!!

Somewhat counterintuitively, the more expensive and prestigious the college the cheaper it is to attend if you can't afford it. For example Stanford is tuition free for all students whose parents make less than $125,000 and also adds free room and board if your parents make less than $65,000/year.

Using an LLC to protect oneself from a margin call?

If I was condescending in any way, let alone the way you were, then I'd really appreciate you letting pointing out how? My question is what the definition of a "small business" is for these purposes. The question remains unanswered, although it appears that it's because the exchanges don't...

Selling Premium - Strategy Never Discussed

And that's my point. If he's doing it with stocks like GME and doesn't understand or chooses to ignore the concept of risk adjusted return, then his strategy is inferior to just buying and holding an index with the leverage necessary to get the return he's getting. He might have a great...

Using an LLC to protect oneself from a margin call?

Condescending doesn't look great on you. No need to play 20 questions, if you know the answer to the question someone asks in direct response to your post why not just provide the answer like a helpful, kind person? And back to the actual discussion, the answer looks like there is no...

News articles about the Financial Transaction Tax

Republicans aren't in control. Elections matter. Republicans letting batshit crazy infect the party led to Republicans losing and putting you at risk of an ftt. You can rail about that or you can put your efforts into cutting out the cancer of Q-Anon and Trump from your party so that they can be...

Using an LLC to protect oneself from a margin call?

First you said it was in the exchange rules, now it's in the subscription document. Is it really there at all, because I'm not seeing it?

Student loan borrowers refusing to pay. You signed the contract now pay what you owe!!!!!

I'm wondering if you grasped that I wasn't complaining about the existence of the corporate bankruptcy process. I was pointing out the absurdity of complaining about those who took advantage of a loan forgiveness program if it was established as somehow bad people while looking at someone like...

Student loan borrowers refusing to pay. You signed the contract now pay what you owe!!!!!

Thousands of companies declare bankruptcy every year and stop paying their debt. Trump did so six times to the tune of billions of dollars. Meanwhile I as a businessman paid my debts, so not fair right? He took risks with the money where he benefited from the upside but suffered little of the...

How can a concept of your risk adjusted return be meaningless to you? That's mind boggling!
