Very good article SA, thanks for sharing it here.
Your assement of Thermactor was right too, he went on my ignore list with his first few posts, nothing of value there.
Its the little know American right to be stupid and not suffer the consequences. Most recent example was lenders and investors that got bailed out consequences for their stupidity in lending so cheaply to people who didn't have a hope of being able to make good on their obligations. Now they are...
Skype offers real value though I think ebay was the wrong partner. They should put it up for sale. Google, MS, Oracle, even Amazon would all be good partners that could leverage the product. As as standalone just a small annual fee would be worth it, Ebay has done a bad job monetizing Skypes...

I was starting to lose interest in ET as the ratio of garbage to worthwhile posts was getting out of hand. Then I started to use the ignore feature and am finding visiting ET far more useful and interesting these days. Highly recommended.
What a turn around. I remember when I used to go up to La Pinsonniere, a great place on the cliffs of the St Lawrence north of Quebec, and on the way visit the outlet stores up there when USD.65 would buy you a loonie (North Face for me and a bunch of womens boutique outlets for the wife, Escada...
