Obviously stopped out on NQ Added to QQQQ Feb Calls. Looks to me as we have reached a support level on the SPX that we may bounce off of. GE may cause some damage in the morning but am betting we are at or near a short term low here and will rally back to DTL. Picked up some HPQ calls...

    Bloomberg very impressive

He is giving his State of the city speech and it is impressive how much he has accomplished and the plans and projects he has. Would raise the bar if he entered the race for Prez.

Can you all feel the tension ?

Looks like the market didn't like the comment about lending being tight in the jumbo loan market and the nonexistant sub prime market. They should run a chart of the market on the screen like they do voters reactions during the political debates :)

Can you all feel the tension ?

"Oh Yeah, he's the other one" (Congress woman mixing up Fed Chairman with Treasury Sec. as being former CEO of GS) . LOL, a budget committee member who doesn't know who the Fing Fed Cheif and Treasury Sec are. That alone should tank the markets!

Can you all feel the tension ?

He says $1Trillion in sub prime and if it loses 50% of value only $100 B in losses? Is it his math or mine? Boy he just doesn't look happy to be the Fed chairman right now. Then went on to say several multiples of $100B possible?! No clue? LOL now we are getting the Fed inflation spin...

Which presidential candidates would withdraw all troops from Iraq if elected?

Of the electables probably none of them. It is easy to say we will pull out all troops when you are not in office but when Iraq threatens to implode on your watch it is a different story. Even Obama who sounds like he would be the most likely to pull troops faster than the others I think would...

    Pabst's Blue Ribbon Trades

Pabst, what do think about shorting the beans here? I've started to buy a few puts but am reticent to take an substantial position before the Fed acts in case thee $ takes another hit and puts a floor under commodity prices. Looks like it might be priced in already in gold.

LONG 70.50 STOP 67 March low on SPX very close could offer the support we are going to bounce off. If I was a scalper I would take the 3 points (my entries almost always go positive 1-4 points before I get stopped out but if I took them it would defeat the purpose). I have considered...

    Were rates just cut overnight?

Might have been this on the CC Intel Chief Executive Paul Otellini dismissed concerns that the company was hurt by slowed spending in the U.S., noting that three-quarters of Intel's business comes from outside the U.S. and the global PC industry appears healthy
