You make that sound so easy. Ive tried and tried to watch the "tape" (t&s, dom) and you can sit there and watch huge blocks going off at the ask and boom it will drop and vice versa. I can see where watching level 2 may be useful trading stocks but the futures tape is beyond my comprehension...

QT has some ingenious stuff on it that I havent seen anywhere else. I am totally satisfied with it, finally.

I really dont think its that difficult. I use three ma's. When they are above one another and sloping down or up I have a trend and start looking for pullbacks. When they are entwined I stand aside. I have not been able to get the hang of countertrend trading but I tried for a long time.

There was a picture on here awhile back of a guy who had about a dozen monitors wrapped around his seat 180 degees for flight simulation. Cant remember where its at but it was quite a sight.

Volatility is a two-way street. If you are an experienced trader I would say have at it. If you dont have a lot of experience I would look for another market. Most prop houses start their new traders on very slow moving stocks for a reason.

satellite download time is fine. It is the upload that sucks. I found it unacceptable for trading. If execution speed is not a requirement then I guess it would be all right.

That shows you how observant I am. I used esignal for a couple of years but did not know you could do that. I did find another example. Is this how you want your charts to look?:D

reiehaxm Been thinking about this and am trying to recall any software Ive had that puts the price on top. Ive used most all of them but dont recall whether you can do this with any of them. Which ones have you used that can do this?

QT has a neat feature called translucency and you can do some pretty neat stuff. One solution would be to put an identical chart with just price bars directly over the one with indicators and then adjust the transparency to taste.This would put the indicators behind the price bars:) edit: I...

I won't argue with that but I have to say that I enjoy cutting costs whenever possible as long as quality is not affected and it tickles me that I'm paying almost nothing for data and charts and I am fully satisfied that my information is accurate enough for my purposes.

I think I would be asking: why does my computer keep crashing and freezing up.:)
