    Question for Grob/Hershey

Stalker My 2 cents: the only time I drop down to the smaller timeframe is when things are moving very fast. During chop the worst thing you can do, imo, is go to a smaller timeframe. In your situation I would avoid trading chop altogether.

    Question for Grob/Hershey

I agree. Replying to these types of posts only puts fuel on the fire. We can also hit the complain button at offtopic and derogatory posts and hopefully the moderator will help keep this thread on track.

Jack as per your request: Was not sure whether to post it as drawn or right side up so I elected the latter. Everyone else PLEASE ignore.

    Question for Grob/Hershey

I will post my squeeze and stretch values but I dont have much confidence in them which is why I wanted to compare. As a review, I think of the neutral value as the fair value of INDU vs. YM. Is this correct? Squeeze and stretch are the extremes and act like a rubber band exerting pressure back...

Divergence--untamed beast or man's best friend?

If you look at historical charts divergence looks like the greatest indicator ever because they appear at almost every top and bottom. Like every other indicator, when you trade real time they have a tendency to work about half the time. Momentum indicators are the only ones I know of that...

    Question for Grob/Hershey

I can help a little. Synch is the ten or fifteen minutes after the market opens that it takes for the cash and futures market to come into alignment. Traverses are the diagonals inside the channels. Re: channels you might check out the Do Trendlines Work thread. Lots of great info there.

Why is the Futures market supposedly more difficult?

Are you familiar with Spydertraders journal? Heres a quote from the initial post: "I have traded The Jack Hershey Equities Method for little over a year – full time for the past 2 months. I have found my results to be quite extraordinary – enabling me to quit my full time job and trade...

It's been 2 years since I turned CNBC on...Cramer was on!

You ever notice how often they turn up the gain on commercials and do a lot of shouting? It works.

    Why not trade price ?

There are some indicators that are used by so many people that to ignore them is to deprive yourself of some of the best s/r info out there.

Why is the Futures market supposedly more difficult?

I have a set of scales on my desk to remind me how equally divided opinions are and keep my bias neutral. This applies to bulls and bears and also to believers non-believers. No matter what you post for proof, half the people will not believe it.

Intraday equity index traders: do you scale in, scale out, or remain constant?

This is an interesting subject. I find the idea of scaling in and out very appealing but I go all in and all out. Mathematically I dont think there is any advantage to either method. At least thats what Ive read. So I guess its just a question of what youre comfortable with.
