No shit. So how do you set up a fair contest between a swing trader and an intraday trader?

Well Ive been watching both for quite awhile. I have seen a lot of Surfs trades and he makes most of his money on large trades that often last for days. I havent seen too many of Profs trades but the ones I have seen were intraday and it is my impression that he is basically an intraday trader...

It seems to me they trade quite different methodologies. I dont see how you set up a fair contest.

BA What a great post! A lot of people get carried away by the IDEA of sct. Its such a fascinating subject but as you say there is absolute no neccessity in it. I think Jack does it because, like the mountain, it is there. He takes great pleasure in extracting the maximum potential available...

:) It is a confusing subject. Jack is always talking about staying on the five minute with only glances at the faster fractal occasionally. Well if staying on the faster fractal will make you hyper what will staying on t&s and dom do to you? It has never done anything but make things more...

I'm not saying theres no patterns. Im saying I dont see them and Ive been trying for quite awhile. I see patterns in the charts and I trade them but I get no help from the fine sweeps and its very frustrating. I am sure it is my own limitations that are the problem.

They do not provide historical charts for ES but there are lots of places to get historical charts.

When you see a big order go off what does this tell you? It tells you a big order went off. One big player buys 500 and another big player sells it to him. Trading that size you would think that both know what they are doing but they are taking opposites sides. Who's right? Im watching thousands...

I agree. It clearly points to a lack of understanding of those things essential to both for success.
