Have you done a search on this forum? There are several threads on this subject. In general satellite is ok for downloading data feeds, not too good for uploads.

Yes. IB has had phenomenal growth. They are not going to turn down new accounts so we'll suffer while they adjust. Overall though I have not lost any money because of it. Knock on wood. As I have stated several times I believe it is the only platform that will perform satisfactorily on a dialup.
