Great trade! I wish the morning had yielded some clearer pictures for me. I ended up overtrading (for me at least) and paying more commission than I should have.

So, does anyone think that maybe the extreme divergence in the index futures as of late is reflecting institutional money pulling from the dow / S&P, and investing more heavily in tech? I don't really understand the underlying reasons for movement, but I am curious if anyone has anything to...

I flattened at 10 evens, I don't want to get caught holding the bag. Chart looks super bullish to me. Ascending triangle breakout bullish.

Agreed, that's my only concern, the "ledge" at 11. If we can crack that I should be able to hold for a 6 point trade instead of a 3 point trade.

I think I have a safe entry, so I'm going to put the stop at b/e and see if we can trade up to 12.50's. We are seeing some high TICKs now so hopefully I don't get flushed out.

Good point. To be honest I was pretty much a rookie at that point and was not consistently profitable at that time. The market would weaken briefly, and then find solid footing below and continue marching. Just like what it seems like it wants to do again right now... We'll see! EDIT...

Yes you are absolutely right. It's amazing how hard it can be to stay in a good trade that I am already in, however if I were flat I know I would be looking to enter for another higher high or whatever. Very interesting!

My day has been mediocre. Sold once for a b/e (tick was -600, etc.), then bought 4.75's at 7:30 PST for the usual 3 points. I bought another long that was scratched at -1, and then this last long that I took off because I won't be able to manage it actively. It's one of those days, so there's...
