No, no hosting :( I'll look at VPS from 1and1, even their highest cost windows plan is $60 which is barely any more than I pay for my backup ISP. One day they'll have virtual workstations.....:eek:

In the interest of getting rid of my backup internet connection I'm considering renting a dedicated server (or preferably a workstation since all I need is XP Pro). Is anyone aware of a cheap offsite vendor that offers a dedicated workstation with XP (or Vista I suppose) for a reasonable price?

I'd have to agree that he will get his funds back if IB is willing to publicly admit it's a bug. $52K is small beans to a company like IB, and the bad PR from not giving back the money is much more costly than $52K....

I'd feel better knowing if it was a server bug or a workstation bug. A server bug won't require any changes to TWS. I guess we'll know soon enough if we see a forced upgrade coming down the pike......

With 3 point moves in less than 10 minutes I can't say I blame them. If you're that close to your margin you're one IB outage away from wiping out your account (and it's not like there haven't been IB outages lately!).
