If you bought the index the dollar drop hurts you, if you bought individual stocks, not so much. If you are up 300% in a stock you can take a 10% drop in the USD index.:)

    Jim Rogers

Gold dropped 50% twice during the seventies only to rise several 100%'s afterwards regardless of your entry point. (Ofcourse bigger gains where there for those who bought at the lowest.) Oil went 50% lower twice during the bull run of 2000-2008 to rise at least 200% higher to 150$ a barrel...

Oil at $200, Stocks Can Keep Rallying....Dont think so Mr. Rogers.

Agreed.:) Faber is great. :D I do have respect for both and their 'contratian peers' and I will tell you why. As the credit crisis hit in the spring of 08 with the crash of Bear Stearns the country where I live (Belgium) was bound to get hit hard as it had probably the most...

Oil at $200, Stocks Can Keep Rallying....Dont think so Mr. Rogers.

I was watching that Short GE interview in april and in all fairness it tanked to sub5$ a share a few days after. Wouldnt he have covered afterwards?:D Anyway, sure there is a lot of mist and cult to the man 'who partnered Soros during the seventies and made billions' but hey that's...

Also, a lot has to do with poor journalism in my view. Why doesnt any reporter asks him: Jim, China is even printing more money then the US but you are still bulish on them? What's up with that? Either they arent allowed or they are to dumb. Probably a bit of both.:)

Oil at $200, Stocks Can Keep Rallying....Dont think so Mr. Rogers.

He did warn people all global banks where basically insolvent in 2007 even which did save a lot of people who listened to him quite some money given the status of safety banks still had back then. He called the Yen reversal in 08 and sure his love for commodities can be a bit repetitive I...

Part III More troubling yet was the admission by IMF managing director Michael Camdessus in 1996 that IMF loans were being used to finance the war in Chechnya. As a taxpayer, were you prepared to back Russia's attempt to put down this Islamic rebellion? The hard discipline needed to...
