    Ivan's Trade Thread, part II

EURUSD 1.3475 may not hold, but I'm prepared for a longer haul... as per my my drawdown risk and volatility window. The trade will take it's time to finish - so I'm not even looking at intermittent news details - just the big picture. If Japanese worries for Q4 and 2009 mount, and Q3 numbers...

Calling it quits and saying goodbye to ET

robbie380, ROFLMAO at the cat... hadn't seen that one... I have one with a puppy pissing on a laptop, but that one was good. Oh, and that one with the streaker on the golf course with the "19th hole" markings on his backside running from police... :)

    Brazil and China BFF's forever

Hehe, SP and BA halted most exchange operations, though... there is enough crime as it is. Many will wake up with ladyboys at a motel tomorrow, after a "wet night of sorrows"... followed by much deeper regrets. Typical of Brazilians etc.

    Ivan's Trade Thread, part II

It was worse when I was doing 50+ contracts on the 6E and other times more than 100 CME Euro FX trades a day... My tax return was 7200 pages, and my best run was 105 consecutive scalp profits over some 30 days once... :)

    Ivan's Trade Thread, part II

When Q3 numbers and analysis, aggregated stats come out - expect a LOT of fast moving markets - probably expectations too. If you get your bearings right and apply risk correctly to your timeframe, you can make very good profits right now. The nice thing is waiting, waiting, waiting and...

    Ivan's Trade Thread, part II

EURUSD 2,000,000 at 1.3478 (tried at 1.3475 but a little slippage) - to above 1.40ish - preferably 1.45 - stop will consider at around 1.30, IF that looks like the case. There was a re-dip, anyone else get in? (I'm only risking -10% balance total on -500pips, but want that +20% on +1000pips) :)

    Dow under 10,000

It was moved before your post, Lucrum. Many other similar posts in the forums... just goes to show the personal taste of some. Can't hold that against them. Some truly like only homogeneous environments - not heterogeneous groups. Who am I to discriminate against their personal preferences...

More Stink On The GreenScam/Bernanke... Carry Trade

gnome, I think you mean "natural deduction". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_deduction I will leave you to develop your science in peace, I was merely trying to help you understand how to model and more strongly found your theories. Apparently, it is futile - as you are well invested...

Logics is mathematics ... and model theories around maths, well - see ZFC for axiomatic set theory. I think I have a pretty good understanding of philosophy, logics, science etc. :p ...but who am I to stop you from jumping into fringe theories. Please - enjoy dipping and submerging...

Well, I have... it was my focus in mathematics while at university. See model theory, completeness, incompleteness, soundness... and if you don't understand it - why represent it? :p http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Model_theory http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Predicate_logic...

If you insist on using "logics" to support your "conspiracy theory" ... then you are into fringe science. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creation_science http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fringe_science You need to understand complex systems... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Complex_adaptive_system...

The Shock Doctrine: The Rise and Fall of Disaster Capitalism

Free capitalism and markets are sustainable - because we bring everyone else along on the growth - to varying degrees of course... The forced "constructive deconstruction" is different, it is for imposing total and corruptive control while under disarray. People's "integrity" is a sad...

Hehehe, you should get some OJ memorabilia as well. :p ... and a recent Rote Armee Fraktion film has been produced. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Army_Faction http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Der_Baader_Meinhof_Komplex (2008 film)

Gnome. Yes, there is systemic bias that you are noticing - no "coincidence". I am just pointing out that you should NOT try to use logic to infer between the various points you identify - because all you will come up with will be an obviously wrong conspiracy theory easily rejected by most...
