    Letting the Machines Decide

Thanks for posting that, very though-provoking. But it can't be all that fucking smart if it holds through a downturn rather than punching out or shorting. If it were my money I would not be impressed that they lost less than other funds. Also I would be astonished if it were so smart that it...

    Keeping Records

Let me suggest that in addition to the twenty other things you are probably watching that you relook at how close market orders will get you. I think you will be pleasantly surprised, as long as you can identify a specific time and price at which you wish to enter.

Probs ESignal to IB Integrated Trading?

Thanks. Placing an order. If you don't have a problem it must be me. I'd rather not describe it if it is pilot error, don't want to suggest there is anything wrong with ESignal if there isn't. Embarassed myself way too many times before.

Indeed it is. Doaks believes that a thoroughly useless undicator should be gaudy and just complicated enough to convey the false perception that it has predictive value. In the TA community this "look" has come to be described as "Doaksian." The fact that it is not for sale at any price only...

    Day Traders: Losing Days

Ammo, as an aside, are you a gun nut? A reloader? An ammo hoarder? You write very coherent beer posts, far better than mine. An honest answer? On ET? Unheard of! The following fiction reads much better. I am 65. I know, I know, time to grow up. I started trading about ten years ago when I...

    Money Managment Tricks

Then you are indeed smart if it took you only a year! It took me nearly ten! It is truly sweet not to worry about multivariate statistics but to cut right through the mathematics with simple backtesting on stop olosses and profit stops. Then you see in the shapes of the variations in the...

Agreed. Backtesting by computer has the added advantage that you can run many what-if's a day to refine the strategy or to take a quick look at the brain farts all of us have while watching the market.
